I'm not sure who posted this preview, but is this a complete translation of the chapter? I'm just trying to figure out what you mean by preview, did you use an online translator or something and thus you don't consider it a full translation? Or is it an incomplete translation, please provide clarification... If this is a translation of the full chapter I'm interested to read it and then continue onto chapter 3 and 4, but if it isn't then I'm going to hold off on reading. just pointing it out that if you looked at the page history, you would have know that it is more like a preview and who posted it. As for quality it is quite good IMO.

Thanks for that bit of info, I've seen preview to mean a bunch of different things to different people, mostly the examples above, but you directing me there has cleared it up. Double 7 is in Dengeki Bunko or whatever that magazine is. So far, the first 2 segments (I guess chapters 0-6) have been released, and it is 2nd year as you say. It's an unedited portion and "spoiler free," so it's more akin to the web novels. Awesome job Dreyakis, its getting exciting with each chapter release. however, in my personal opinion, i'm not that hyped about the story spanning over two volumes. In the previous arcs i felt the transition to the next volume didn't go over so well, hell i'm still lamenting about the enrollment arc. that being said the author did improve with the nine-schools arc. maybe the author will surprise us this time. great story anyways. share your thoughts. I had the feeling that he took his time with this chapter. But that is kinda good, because sometimes i get the bad feeling that he works to much for us and even then he is still so fast that you can by no means complain (still one of the fastest translators I seen till now) (not that we have a right to complain anyway).

Indeed. It's difficult not to appreciate just how fast and capable both Drey and zzhk are. Even given a masterful command of both English and Chinese, there's a lot of cross-referencing that has to happen when you're not translating straight from the Japanese text. The fact that they're both efficient ''and'' consistent is just staggering. <br />

I think you should add Js06 to the list of one man army translators as well. Sure, he takes longer when translating other LNs, but when a new To Aru Majutsu no Index volume comes out, he can finish the LN in about a week or so with daily updates. I'd have to say no matter what Drey chooses to do, he'll be somewhat screwed over. If he puts an ETA, fewer people will probably harass him about when he'll be finished, but if he's "late" for this "deadline," little pissants will show up again; however, if he decides to keep the ETA omitted, he'll probably just have all the other little peons messaging him or posting on this user talk about when the next chapter will be finished. I'm one of those people who likes the ETAs, but if Drey removed them I assume that they were hurting more than helping. But yeah doesn't help that people try to hold him to his "deadlines", they were solely informational and a form of a courtesy. I agree with Enigmatic, probably gonna get stressed either way. Double 7 is in Dengeki Bunko or whatever that magazine is. So far, the first 2 segments (I guess chapters 0-6) have been released, and it is 2nd year as you say. It's an unedited portion and "spoiler free," so it's more akin to the web novels. Awesome job Dreyakis, its getting exciting with each chapter release. however, in my personal opinion, i'm not that hyped about the story spanning over two volumes. In the previous arcs i felt the transition to the next volume didn't go over so well, hell i'm still lamenting about the enrollment arc. that being said the author did improve with the nine-schools arc. maybe the author will surprise us this time. great story anyways. share your thoughts. I had the feeling that he took his time with this chapter. But that is kinda good, because sometimes i get the bad feeling that he works to much for us and even then he is still so fast that you can by no means complain (still one of the fastest translators I seen till now) (not that we have a right to complain anyway).

Indeed. It's difficult not to appreciate just how fast and capable both Drey and zzhk are. Even given a masterful command of both English and Chinese, there's a lot of cross-referencing that has to happen when you're not translating straight from the Japanese text. The fact that they're both efficient ''and'' consistent is just staggering. <br />

I think you should add Js06 to the list of one man army translators as well. Sure, he takes longer when translating other LNs, but when a new To Aru Majutsu no Index volume comes out, he can finish the LN in about a week or so with daily updates. I'd have to say no matter what Drey chooses to do, he'll be somewhat screwed over. If he puts an ETA, fewer people will probably harass him about when he'll be finished, but if he's "late" for this "deadline," little pissants will show up again; however, if he decides to keep the ETA omitted, he'll probably just have all the other little peons messaging him or posting on this user talk about when the next chapter will be finished. I'm one of those people who likes the ETAs, but if Drey removed them I assume that they were hurting more than helping.
