== Deletion of Light Novels ==

On Dec 18, 2015 Cthaeh and perhaps others deleted many chapters of more than one light novel from this site. I noticed this when looking for 'Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo', now entirely gone. I have seen no explanation of why this happened.

I also miss the page on dropped projects, which explained, for example, that 'Spice and Wolf' was dropped because it is now licensed for publication in the USA.

I'm not sure about everyone else, but I think I prefer the previous version of the list than the current one. The reason is that it's easier to look down the list ABC order on the sidebar than pressing the link to view the light novels. I personally hope that the format will go back to the one in the past. You should probably change either "Yahari Ore No Seishun Rabu Kome Wa Machigatte Iru" on the side bar to it's English name, or change the English name to the Japanese one in the "Main Projects" page. It might be a little confusing otherwise. Also, anyone who is reading Yahari on their phone has it switched over to it's English name without any prior indication. - [[User:Censura|Censura]] 00:14, 13 June 2014 (PST)

I agree with the previous person about the light novel links. It was much quicker to get where I wanted to go when they were in a collapsible list on the side. I check multiple LNs frequently, and having to scroll all the way to the top, click "main Projects", and then search through there adds extra unnecessary steps to my browsing experience. Please add that option back to the site.

is there any reason why some of these projects being listed here as a "main" even though it still has the teaser marker on it, kinda defeats the purpose of description placed on this page "This is a list of English Baka-Tsuki Projects that have '''one or more volumes''' translated. " better yet there's one where it's only a prologue at the moment.

That's cause someone put a light novel category onto it as well. Anything with a light novel tag gets put into the main projects page

Can you please translate Nihon Kokuyū Tetsudō Kōantai aka Rail wars. Please I really want to read this light novel

YS:I would love to see a Tokyo Ghoul Light Novel Translation since theres some fans out there now and the story is great.

Can you please translate "Sorry Onii-sama" and others that are on the list of potential teasers on oniichanyamete site, since the guy will only translate teasers (he already has his hands full with other projects) but they are all so interesting that I wonder how they aren't translated until now.

'Inukami!' by Mamizu Arisawa. Light novels from which manga was also created. The light novels are not available in English. The manga has been translated into English and is available in the USA.

'Missing' by Gakuto Coda, volumes 3 and further. Tokyopop translated Volumes 1 and 2 for the USA. Those are out of print but still available. Volume 3 and further volumes are not available in English.

Extend the suggestion to the 'Dansho no Grimm / Grimm Fragments' novels written by Gakuto Kouda (same author, different spelling of name).

What is the difference between using <nowiki> {{:CubexCursedxCurious:Updates}} </nowiki> and just manually typing the updates out on the main page? I assume you still have to type out the updates on the other page to, correct? I'm merely curious as to if there is any benefit in doing it a certain way or if it's just preferance. In terms of results, no difference. Either way, you still need two pages.

There are two common approaches: 1) Edit the main page whenever there is an update. Move the updates to an archive page when the list gets too long. 2) Edit only the updates page and control what's displayed on the main page using the <nowiki><noinclude></noinclude></nowiki> tag.

==The most recent chapter name edits==
Volume 3's chapter names were just changed to the present tense. I personally think that they now sound much more awkward and should be reverted. Also as you may know, two and three letter words in titles should not be capitalized.
Edit: On second thought present tense might feel fine once the short words are correctly de-capitalized. Edit again: actually there doesn't seem to be any truly correct way to capitalize a title, but leaving the words that are less than four letters long and not at the beginning or end of the title in lower case seems like a good standard. If you go by either the Chicago Manual of Style or the Associated Press, the first word of the title, the last word of the title, and all nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, adjectives are all capitalized in titles. The details only differ in how conjunctions and prepositions are handled (AP capitalizes them only if they are 4 or more characters long).
