I had to ask, did you translate while knowing that [http://oreimothetranslation.wordpress.com/ NanoDesu] is planning to translate all of the novels sooner or later? Because even if you completed a whole volume I'm pretty sure he will still translate it, which is kinda redundant in my opinion (just voicing my thought, if you still want to continue translating it, feel free to do it).

On a side note, I have deleted that funky volume 6 chapter 1, lol.

Yes, I know about NanoDesu. I don't really see why other people shouldn't work on it just because they might plan to eventually. Right now they're still on volume 4 and it's not like they're going especially fast. There is so much of this series that still needs to be translated. I started with volume 6 in part to stay out of their way, but also because it's the start of a new story arc that isn't touched on at all in the anime and stuff. I know there are a lot of people who want to read it.

Regarding the spell error/wicked blade in V1C3, i believe spell error works better. However, it is up to you as to how it is properly translated. - Bzk

Spell Error is the reading, you can in fact call it the actual name, Wicked Blade is the writing. One should always read it as Spell Error. I only include the writing if it provides interesting and somewhat vital information that would be lost if only the reading is included. This is a style used by Kagami. I just haven't added a translation note yet. Well I forgot and will do it later. Even for Epee Rapier, he used Thrusting Blade and Slender Blade as the writing, but I didn't include those, because they are not interesting information to the plot; he did that for Epee Rapier so that Japanese people reading it can have an idea how it looks like, since they might be foreign to fencing swords. In other cases otherwise, there's a reason behind the multiple meanings, just like Vampire (Most Ancient Sorcerer). Not extremely important, but nevertheless interesting. And that's where the manga translation failed; everyone who has read that including reviewers thought that this is just another vampire story. While in truth, there's more to that. Kagami is a very prolific fantasy writer (well, he writes fast) and he has a love for epic-ness, and I can see Itsuten going well over 10 volumes; I won't be surprised if it goes over 20. ^_^ --[[User:Larethian|Larethian]] 15:40, 10 April 2011 (UCT)

I have a new BIG project (work-related) coming my way, which requires my complete attention (since it's too important and big to delegate too much responsibility to others), which means everything I'm working on baka-tsuki will be stalled for an indefinite amount of time (a few months at least, a few years at most... I think ). I'll still try to finish Itsuten V2 C1, since I'm about a third done. Anyone who wants to take over the chapters I registered for Baka Test and Daiden is welcome to do so, since I only did 2 pages for both >_<. I apologize for any inconvenience caused. I will start working on Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu but it might take time. Basically my plan is to make 3 templates one for each part and then compile them all into one template via calling. Regarding the spell error/wicked blade in V1C3, i believe spell error works better. However, it is up to you as to how it is properly translated. - Bzk

Spell Error is the reading, you can in fact call it the actual name, Wicked Blade is the writing. One should always read it as Spell Error. I only include the writing if it provides interesting and somewhat vital information that would be lost if only the reading is included. This is a style used by Kagami. I just haven't added a translation note yet. Well I forgot and will do it later. Even for Epee Rapier, he used Thrusting Blade and Slender Blade as the writing, but I didn't include those, because they are not interesting information to the plot; he did that for Epee Rapier so that Japanese people reading it can have an idea how it looks like, since they might be foreign to fencing swords. In other cases otherwise, there's a reason behind the multiple meanings, just like Vampire (Most Ancient Sorcerer). Not extremely important, but nevertheless interesting. And that's where the manga translation failed; everyone who has read that including reviewers thought that this is just another vampire story. While in truth, there's more to that. Kagami is a very prolific fantasy writer (well, he writes fast) and he has a love for epic-ness, and I can see Itsuten going well over 10 volumes; I won't be surprised if it goes over 20. ^_^ --[[User:Larethian|Larethian]] 15:40, 10 April 2011 (UCT)

I was awakened by the noisy alarm clock.

I'm weak in the morning. If it was a usual day, having the alarm ring only once is far from enough to wake me up, but today is different than usual. I managed to wake up with a clear mind and feeling refreshed.

Today is the day of my high school entrance ceremony.

I, Kashiwada Naoki, am determined to live a completely new life at my best.

In other words, from today onwards, I shall become a 'hidden otaku'.

I had vowed strongly in my heart that I shall never again have a passionate otaku talk in the class, never join topics related to Manga and Galge and Doujinshi.

The middle school life where I was called Disgusting Otaku. When I got to know the truth, I was really shocked. I almost stopped trusting woman. There was even a moment where I was thinking whether or not to enter an all-boys high school. But, in the end, I didn't want to.
Even though I am an otaku, I will still be interested in 3D woman, and I wanted to fall in love.

Therefore I will bury away my past, and decided to spend my high school life while hiding my otaku identity.

To accomplish that, I purposely took the entrance exam of a high school that was taken by no one who knows me.

Becoming someone who is conscious towards his outward appearance in order to not be exposed as otaku, then ultimately get a girlfriend ---- with these being my final objective, I make preparation for my high school entry.

Wearing contact lenses instead of glasses, went to a trendy hairstylist to have my haircut instead of the usual 1000-yen-barber at spring break before the school entrance ceremony.

The wallpaper in my cellphone changed from my favorite game character to a stylish-looking scenery, the phone straps I bought from anime shop that were used until now, were also removed from my cellphone.

My resolve is not a joke.

I wore my brand new uniform, then took a deep breath.

From today onwards, I will try to start a Riajuu life.


I arrived at a station which is somewhere near Fujimi High School, and get off from the train.

Passing by my middle school in the local area, I had my first experience of going school by train. Then I left the place after had my ticket examined.

Right now, I held a little bit hope for the school life that I'm about to start today. I wonder what kind of girl my high school has.

My Ideal type is, a kind girl that is cute and neat. I heard that nowadays high school girls often dyed their hair brown or apply permanent wave, but why girls dyed their hair brown or apply permanent wave, I really had no idea. If I am to get a girlfriend, straight black hair is definitely the best. The hairstyle that is best in expressing a Japanese female's charm, without any doubt I believe it is straight black hair

After I left the station, I noticed that there was a female student wearing the school uniform of the high school I attended walking in front of me. Unexpectedly that female student, had a beautiful straight black hair, just as what I had imagine now. What an amazing timing. I began to stare at her sub-consciously.

Her long hair that extended until her back, fluttered with the spring's wind. She not only has good posture, even the way she walks is beautiful. Though I only saw her back, I could tell everything about her was ideal to me. Aah.... you who has a beautiful back appearance, I wanted to see your face. I was waiting for a chance for her to turn her body around, but it seems like it isn't going to happen any time soon.

Then, some noise of running steps came from behind me. A small girl with backpack ran pass me. I guess there is a primary school somewhere around the station. That small girl is probably 1st, or 2nd grader.

When I notice that she ran pass me, she is already ran further enough to almost passby the female student who was walking in front of me.

"Man, she sure works hard", as I thought like that in admiration, she fell quite hard in a sudden when she was about to run passed that female student.

Uwaa, that sure hurts. When I thought "will she cries?" and about to get worried, the female student in front of me ran towards that small girl nervously, squat down and held her up.

Though I can't hear anything because the incident happened 5 meters away, I think the female student initiate a talk with the small girl.

As I keep on walking, I get closer and closer to them. Because I was concern about them so I took a look, and I saw the female student brushed off the sand on the small girl's cloth.

I could hear her voice as she talked. Though I was in a position where I could only see her side face, I saw the female student talked to the small girl with a kind smile.

Then she pat the small girl's head. The small girl replied happily with an "Um!". Aaah.... how wonderful this is. Even her voice is beautiful.

Perhaps realizing I was looking at her, she turned her face towards me for a moment.

That is the first time, that I could see her face clearly.

A beauty that will make one shocked and charmed with just a single glare.

Very soon she changed her direction back to the small girl. And I walk passed them without stopping at all.

As both my hope and anxiety were getting stronger, the entrance ceremony held in gymnasium was ended.

I went to my classroom according to the announcement, then find myself a seat. It is a window seat at the most left, 2nd row from the back.

Soon after I got onto my seat, I tried to look out for the girl I met this morning.

But for me whose seat is at the 2nd row from the back, I could only see most of the students' back. Since there are a few female student with straight black hair, so I can't search for her with only back appearance.

To begin with, I don't even know if she is a new student or not, so for her to be in the same class as I am is something close to miracle.

As suggested by homeroom teacher, each of us came out to give a self-introduction, and in the midst of this, it happened.

At the exact middle of the first row in front, a girl who sat at opposite of the teacher's desk stood up and went to the front of teacher's desk.

I felt extremely happy and also until my hand was trembling.

Though I could only took a glimpse of her look this morning, now that I look at her again, she really is beautiful.

Fair skin and big clear eyes. Long eyelashes that could almost create shades. Straight hair that is glazing black. Beautiful and well proportioned standing pose. Everything seems like a paint.

Not just me, probably all guys in the class were staring at her.

Her figure, atmosphere, were completely my ideal. At this time, without caring about the fact that we had just met, my heart was strongly captivated by her.

She finished her short speech in an unsociable tone, then return back to her seat without any hesitation.

All classmate that watched this were dumbfounded, then fall into silent and forgot to applause.

The class is getting noisier. It is very likely that everyone is thinking stuffs like "can't someone just take over that job". Of course, I am one of them.

She proposed candidacy for herself as the class committee.

"Hasegawa-san, do you want to be the class representative?"

I was awakened by the noisy alarm clock.

I'm weak in the morning. If it was a usual day, having the alarm ring only once is far from enough to wake me up, but today is different than usual. I managed to wake up with a clear mind and feeling refreshed.

Today is the day of my high school entrance ceremony.

I wonder how long I had waited this day.

I, Kashiwada Naoki, am determined to live a completely new life at my best.

In other words, from today onwards, I shall become a 'hidden otaku'.

I had vowed strongly in my heart that I shall never again have a passionate otaku talk in the class, never join topics related to Manga and Galge and Doujinshi.

The middle school life where I was called Disgusting Otaku. When I got to know the truth, I was really shocked. I almost stopped trusting woman. There was even a moment where I was thinking whether or not to enter an all-boys high school. But, in the end, I didn't want to.
Even though I am an otaku, I will still be interested in 3D woman, and I wanted to fall in love.

Therefore I will bury away my past, and decided to spend my high school life while hiding my otaku identity.

To accomplish that, I purposely took the entrance exam of a high school that was taken by no one who knows me.

Becoming someone who is conscious towards his outward appearance in order to not be exposed as otaku, then ultimately get a girlfriend ---- with these being my final objective, I make preparation for my high school entry.

Wearing contact lenses instead of glasses, went to a trendy hairstylist to have my haircut instead of the usual 1000-yen-barber at spring break before the school entrance ceremony.

The wallpaper in my cellphone changed from my favorite game character to a stylish-looking scenery, the phone straps I bought from anime shop that were used until now, were also removed from my cellphone.

My resolve is not a joke.

I wore my brand new uniform, then took a deep breath.

From today onwards, I will try to start a Riajuu life.



I arrived at a station which is somewhere near Fujimi High School, and get off from the train.

Passing by my middle school in the local area, I had my first experience of going school by train. Then I left the place after had my ticket examined.

Right now, I held a little bit hope for the school life that I'm about to start today. I wonder what kind of girl my high school has.

My Ideal type is, a kind girl that is cute and neat. I heard that nowadays high school girls often dyed their hair brown or apply permanent wave, but why girls dyed their hair brown or apply permanent wave, I really had no idea. If I am to get a girlfriend, straight black hair is definitely the best. The hairstyle that is best in expressing a Japanese female's charm, without any doubt I believe it is straight black hair

After I left the station, I noticed that there was a female student wearing the school uniform of the high school I attended walking in front of me. Unexpectedly that female student, had a beautiful straight black hair, just as what I had imagine now. What an amazing timing. I began to stare at her sub-consciously.

Her long hair that extended until her back, fluttered with the spring's wind. She not only has good posture, even the way she walks is beautiful. Though I only saw her back, I could tell everything about her was ideal to me. Aah.... you who has a beautiful back appearance, I wanted to see your face. I was waiting for a chance for her to turn her body around, but it seems like it isn't going to happen any time soon.



Then, some noise of running steps came from behind me. A small girl with backpack ran pass me. I guess there is a primary school somewhere around the station. That small girl is probably 1st, or 2nd grader.

When I notice that she ran pass me, she is already ran further enough to almost passby the female student who was walking in front of me.

"Man, she sure works hard", as I thought like that in admiration, she fell quite hard in a sudden when she was about to run passed that female student.

Uwaa, that sure hurts. When I thought "will she cries?" and about to get worried, the female student in front of me ran towards that small girl nervously, squat down and held her up.

Though I can't hear anything because the incident happened 5 meters away, I think the female student initiate a talk with the small girl.

My Ideal type is, a kind girl that is cute and neat. I heard that nowadays high school girls often dyed their hair brown or apply permanent wave, but why girls dyed their hair brown or apply permanent wave, I really had no idea. If I am to get a girlfriend, straight black hair is definitely the best. The hairstyle that is best in expressing a Japanese female's charm, without any doubt I believe it is straight black hair

After I left the station, I noticed that there was a female student wearing the school uniform of the high school I attended walking in front of me. Unexpectedly that female student, had a beautiful straight black hair, just as what I had imagine now. What an amazing timing. I began to stare at her sub-consciously.

Her long hair that extended until her back, fluttered with the spring's wind. She not only has good posture, even the way she walks is beautiful. Though I only saw her back, I could tell everything about her was ideal to me. Aah.... you who has a beautiful back appearance, I wanted to see your face. I was waiting for a chance for her to turn her body around, but it seems like it isn't going to happen any time soon.



Then, some noise of running steps came from behind me. A small girl with backpack ran pass me. I guess there is a primary school somewhere around the station. That small girl is probably 1st, or 2nd grader.

As I just had a thought that she had ran pass me, she ran further pass the female student who was walking in front of me.

"Man, she sure works hard", as I thought like that in admiration, she fell quite hard in a sudden when she was about to run passed that female student.

Uwaa, that sure hurts. When I thought "will she cries?" and about to get worried, the female student in front of me ran towards that small girl nervously, squat down and held her up.

Though I can't hear anything because the incident happened 5 meters away, I think the female student initiate a talk with the small girl.

As I keep on walking, I get closer and closer to them. Because I was concern about them so I took a look, and I saw the female student brushed off the sand on the small girl's cloth.

"are you alright?"

I could hear her voice as she talked. Though I was in a position where I could only see her side face, I saw the female student talked to the small girl with a kind smile.

"You didn't cry at all. That's good, that's good.."

Then she pat the small girl's head. The small girl replied happily with an "Um!". Aaah.... how wonderful this is. Even her voice is beautiful.

Perhaps realizing I was looking at her, she turned her face towards me for a moment.

That is the first time, I could see her face clearly.

I was shocked.

A fair skin that is very white, and a beautiful look.

A beauty that will make one shocked and charmed with just a single glare.

Very soon she changed her direction back to the small girl. And I walk passed them without stopping at all

My heartbeat is getting stronger and stronger.

An angel.

I saw an angel.

A kindness that straight away helped the small girl without a single sign of hesitation, a beautiful face that charms everything that looked at it. This girl who possessed both of these traits, is an angel herself.

Such high school female student, is it really alright for her to exist in this world?

I was awaken by the noise of the alarm clock.

I'm weak in the morning. If it was the usual day, having the alarm to ring only once is far from enough to wake me up, but today is different than usual. I was able to feel refreshed and woke up with a clear mind.

Today is the day of my high school entrance ceremony.

I wonder how long I had waited this day.

I, Kashiwada Naoki, am determined to live a completely new life at my best.

In other words, from today onwards, I shall become a 'hidden otaku'.

I had vowed strongly in my heart that I shall never again have a passionate otaku talk in the class, never join topics related to Manga and Galge and Doujinshi.

The middle school life where I was called Disgusting Otaku. When I got to know the truth, I was really shocked. I almost stop trusting woman. There was even a moment where I was thinking whether or not to enter an all-boys high school. But, in the end, I didn't want to.
Even though I am an otaku, I will still be interested towards 3D woman, and I wanted to fall in love.

Therefore I will bury away my past, and decided to spend my high school life while hiding my otaku identity.

To accomplish that, I purposely took the entrance exam of a high school that was taken by no one who knows me.

Becoming someone who is conscious towards his outward appearance in order to not be exposed as otaku, then ultimately get a girlfriend ---- with these being my final objective, i make preparation for my high school entry.

the unforgettable summer of 3rd year middle school. a certain day after school.

there was... a cute voice that i'm familiar with.

"i see, that's a relieve.... i was so worried when i thought that Aikawa might like that otaku."

"hey, could you stop that already?"

"well, since you often talk to Kashiwada didn't you?"

"no that's, i just happened to talk to him because he seems interesting"

"ah, so you were just playing on him?"

"of course that's how it is."



the conversation that came from the classroom, a few girls' laughing voice that sounds like they were having fun.

i was in the midst of retrieving the things i had forgotten. And towards the conversation that came from the inside, i could do

nothing but stood still and listened.

the female student named Aikawa Kizuna in the classroom right now, is someone that i had a crush on until this moment.

her voice that came from the classroom right now, makes me doubt my ear when i compared it with her usual kind tone.

she really was kind. "why such a cute girl is willing to talk to a lame otaku like me", i always wonder.

but.

"there's no way i will like him"

"it is just simply because he is fun to play with"

the words i'm listening to right now, were her honest words.

those words of hers had always been echoing in my head.


"Say, aren't those otaku way too disgusting?"

"Yeah, their conversations are somewhat overly passionate, they're also noisy and goddamn annoying, and their grossness is

contaminating the entire classroom as well."

Other girls than Aikawa continue their insults. The word "they" in their conversation, is obviously about us Otakus.

It is true, that me and my friends had our otaku conversation in the classroom. But we did not notice whether or not our

conversation were so loud that everyone around could heard us, nor I would ever imagine us being so disgusting and so damn

annoying.

now for the first time, i had realize how other people look at us otakus.

and it was a very shocking fact to me that i couldn't move away from that place.

I accidently overhear words of the girl i like denying me, and being called 'disgusting otaku' by other girls mercilessly. The

worst day in my life.



after that, my middle school life was grey in color.

in order to not treated as disgusting, i started to be concerned of what people look at, think only to not stand out, and spent the

rest of my school life like that. i also stopped having otaku talk with my otaku friends, and not to mention any sensitive topics.

i still talk a little with Aikawa Kizuna who i used to like, but since i had already overheard her honest words, even if she was to

talk to me, i could no longer reply her like usual.

my precious middle school life, ended just like that with such unpleasant memory.
