			Until just a little bit ago, whenever he looked around, it felt as though every single place in this world where he belonged was occupied entirely by the old Tada Banri. He felt as though his present self had no place here. So anyhow when the first blow was dealt, then he fled, without even looking back he fled, he fled, he fled, he fled, desperately, desperately, desperately, blindly, he kept on fleeing. That was all he could do. He tried to get as far away as possible from Tada Banri. And so, as if he were fleeing, he tried to get as far away as possible.

			Now, Banri had at long last found his way here.

			"Linda! Let's take a picture of the two of us!"

			"Sure! Come on, over here, over here!"

			The two of them turning their faces up towards the cell-phones, "Ready, set, waaah!" clowning around with their mouths wide open for the picture. They instantly dissolved into uproarious laughter until, losing all their strength, they sat themselves down.

			That photo got torn to shreds and scattered to the wind. They could no longer retrieve that photo, and yet even now, even the very fact that it was lost forever was becoming a memory. Painfully, sorrowfully, and yet somehow transformed into a past touched with gentle kindness, it rose again, now, here. Time and again, it rose again like that. So long as the self that sought to bring it back remained, it would rise again.

			(Every aspect of Banri in this world, every single moment in which Banri exists in this world, I want to meet them all and go shouting, "I love you!" The Banri that I don't know, the Banri that I don't like, it makes no difference. So long as it is Banri, that's enough. If it's the whole of Banri, then for me, it is the very best thing. That, and nothing else.)

 Settling into a seat towards the back of the room alongside Linda, Banri spent a moment surveying the class.  There were several groups chatting cheerfully, their loud laughter filling the air with excitement.  Some people were gazing out the window at the scenery with a look of nostalgia, while a group of girls were snapping photos of one another on their mobile phones.  Was it true that everyone there... until just a year and a half ago... wore the same uniform and came to that very classroom every single day?  Was such a noisy scene unfolding there every single day?  Had he, too, really blended in there like that?

+Perhaps rattled by the sudden crisis, the East Team uncharacteristically allowed their formation to fall apart.  The absolutely straight horizontal line began to fray and unravel.  The obvious target here was the mastermind: Linda the Demon.  If Linda died, the rest would turn out okay.  Without even saying anything, all three players holding balls must have been thinking the very same thing.  Banri locked his sights on Linda and entered into his killer pitching motion.  The feeling that it was a sure thing was coursing through his entire body.
