I'm bringing you a new book. Slightly different from before, this one is a collection of short stories. It's like an intermission—there's no fighting. It's not exactly a replacement, but in any case, the character relationships make significant progress.

Time flies so fast. It's already been a year since the Kämpfer series started, and this is the sixth volume. It feels a bit like speeding to me. While continuing this series, I've thought several times, "Should I slow down and start preparing the ending?" But thanks to the passionate support from all you readers, I've made it this far. The battles, the romance, and Natsuru's monologues will all progress further from here, so please look forward to it.

A while ago, I glanced at a survey, and currently, Student Council President Shizuku Sangou's popularity is rising sharply. Unexpected yet understandable, it seems the ending of Volume 3 had an effect, causing her votes to surge dramatically. I originally wondered if confessing so early in Volume 3 was too soon, but the pen followed my heart, and before I knew it, it turned out that way. Knowing her popularity rose, I unconsciously added more emphasis, and as a result, this volume ended up like this too. Somehow, this entire passage feels like it's full of pronouns.

Next in popularity are female Natsuru and the fierce dog, Akane. Natsuru is, after all, the main character and seems to be quite popular after turning into a girl. Also, Akane is (sort of) the heroine of this novel, but it feels like female Natsuru has become the heroine too. There's a feeling that this isn't bad either, but Akane is still the heroine. The pre-transformation and post-transformation Akane feel like two-in-one; lately, she's been working hard even before transforming. Does her effort, showing affection towards Natsuru with tears in her eyes, touch the readers' hearts too? After transforming, she's the same as always.

Alright, alright, let me announce here that Kämpfer is getting a manga adaptation! It will be in MF's monthly Comic Alive, starting serialization on February 27th. I've seen the initial drafts too; the characteristics are captured very clearly, and it looks very interesting. The part where the Seppuku Tiger suddenly speaks has a great feel to it.

This novel has transformation scenes and battle scenes. It might be a bit much for me, the author, to say this, but I think it's a work very suited for a visual medium. I'm happy as an author that these things can now be seen directly.

The successful manga adaptation of Kämpfer is also thanks to everyone who consistently buys the novels. From now on, please continue your support for both the novels and the manga.
