	I'm not quite sure what the beginning of this sentence is trying to say. Is it 'The good appearance of a NEWborn child directly relates to having a prosperous offspring?" Or is it refering possibly to the fact that a child born from the union? I'm pretty sure the intent of the sentence is to say that a good-looking child will become prosperous, so instinct is to marry someone pretty. 			Necromancy: Fwiw, I suspect it's some kind of awkwardly phrased sociobiological reference (re beauty, height, etc being among the best predictors of future social success/wealth/etc), including studies on how good looking kids are perceived and treated much better by teachers, etc

			Guess I should just explain here, so people don't get confused:

			In the Japanese text, there is neither "manly spirit" nor "destiny", but "roman" (ロマン). It means something along the lines of romance but also adventure and crap. In short, it's totally ridiculous and Haruaki's an idiot. Over the course of earlier editing, someone suggested "manly spirit", and it got approved at that time. Well, I never really liked it, so I asked Eusth and we changed it for "destiny" in caps for a similar level of ridicule in English. Imagine the idiot, standing up in the middle of class, with burning eyes, shouting stupid stuff. That's the image we wanted to transmit, more or less.

			Something similar should apply to "What's with that conceited guess" => "How cocky", although I don't remember the exact Japanese phrasing. But there as well (and on several other accounts), I asked for Eusth's okay, and I got it. So yes, basically, 100% of my critical, sense-changing edits are approved by Eusth. And I hope for everyone to see how they work better in any given place.

			In regards to 2: Gah, that word. It's come up elsewhere. >_< It's the romaji version of the first few definitions of romance. >_< Not the ones to do with love, but the adventure stories of yore. Gah. Maybe we can substitute manly spirit? Or something like that.

 Gah. Going in a bit of grammar and word choice. >_< Is this sentence refering to something specific or general? If it specific, it needs to be 'an aspiration.' If it's general, it should probably be replaced with 'goal' or 'ambition'. Aspiration isn't really used that way. Well, I suppose you could say something like 'You lack aspirations for the future.'
