	~~While~~ I ~~have a reasonable grasp~~ of ~~individual~~ Kanji ~~up through 7th grade or so, lately~~ I'~~ve changed my approach~~ to ~~focusing more~~ on ~~learning actual~~ vocabulary ~~words~~.		I recently reached the milestone of having memorized the meanings for all 2136 regular use Kanji (which makes Kanji look ups go faster :)) and I'm now focusing on getting up to speed on all JLPT N3-level vocabulary for the end of year JLPT test.

I guess I'm a newbie translator at this point. I have completed 3 semesters of college Japanese using the ''Yookoso'' and ''Genki'' (I+II) textbooks, and am moving on to ''An Integrated Approach to Intermediate Japanese'' (Akira Miura & Naomi Hananoka McGloin).

I have also worked my way through:

''Read Japanese Today'' (Len Walsh)
