Wielding formidable magical prowess, the Mage Guard was organized through extremely selective trials amongst nobles, and each member rode a magical beast to his division's name. They were the Tristainian symbols of fear and pride.		This man was the leader of one of three Mage Guard divisions, the Griffon Corps, Captain Lord Wardes. His division was the most memorable amongst the entire Mage Guard, and especially to Mazarin.
