All names are in Japanese name order.

Species

• キャーティア - Catian
• ドギーシュア - Dogishan
• バルンムウ - Barunmuu
  • They're 'birdmen' (or women in this case), I have the feeling the name's a sci-fi reference but I can't put my finger on it, something related to Flash Gordon?
• オルソニア人 - Orsonians
  • This is probably a Mork & Mindy reference.
• ガーヴル人 - Garblian (Text on screen in Anime ep3.)
  • 'Reptile-men' wouldn't surprise me if this is something related to Flash Gordon again.

Main Characters

• 嘉和 騎央（かかず きお）- Kakazu Kio
• エリス - Eris
• 双葉 アオイ（ふたば アオイ）- Futaba Aoi
• 金武城 真奈美（きんじょう まなみ）- Kinjou Manami

• アントニア - Antonia
  • Full name: アントニア・リリモニ・ノフェンデラス・パパノーガス・アレクロテレス・クノーシス・モルフェノス - Antonia Lirimonie Norfedras Papanorgas Arecroteles Cnorses Morfenoss
    • Anime gives this as her name in English in ep4. Though it spells her first names as "Antnia"; which is possibly done simply to fit the entire thing into the text box on the "CIA terminal".
• 摩耶（まや）- Maya
• サラ - Sara
• 西原 ゆき（にしはら ゆき）- Nishihara Yuki

Kakazu's Relatives (嘉和一族)

• 宮城 雄一（みやぎ ゆういち）- Miyagi Yuuichi
• ナベ、ウシ、カマド - Nabe, Ushi, Kamado
  • Aka, "Pot", "Cow", "Cooking Stove". This probably aren't useful being literally translated (and I believe their reason for these people being named as such are explained in the novel) but will probably need to be footnoted. They're ユタ, some form of Okinawa traditional shaman or something?

• 糸嘉州 マキ（いとかず マキ）- Itokazu Maki
• 普久原 聡（ふくはら さとし）- Fukuhara Satoshi
• 石嶺 愛子（いしみね あいこ）- Ishimine Aiko
• 大城 アリサ（おおしろ アリサ）- Oshiro Alisa (Half-american/half-Japanese so that's probably the 'better' spelling, but everyone else uses "Arisa".)
• 河崎 貴雄（かわさき たかお）- Kawasaki Takao

The wiki mentions these four are related to the author's previous, out of print work as well. Probably need to look into this at some point. Sigh.
