The Leviathan of the Covenant (盟約のリヴァイアサン, Meiyaku no Leviathan, o que em português ficaria O Leviatã da Aliança) é uma light novel escrita por Takedzuki Jou e ilustrada por Nimura Yuuji.

A série é publicada pela Kadokawa dentro do rótulo MF Bunko J e foi concluída com 8 volumes.

Takedzuki Jou (latinizado como Joe Takeduki) também é conhecido como o autor de Campione! apesar de que a série que tem sido sensação é a Chronicle Legion.

Nimura Yuuji também tem feito as ilustrações de Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance começando do Volume 14.

Sinopse

Você deve se tornar rei... Governando todas as “serpentes” do mundo... Se torne o homem que carrega o peso do medo e ódio do dragão.

Uma era moderna onde a humanidade era ameaçada por ataques dos gigantes dragões voando do além céu. Controlando os “Leviatãs” – seres espirituais serpentinos criados por mágica – a humanidade está presa à uma prolongada guerra de resistência contra os dragões. Afortunadamente, existem bruxas chamadas de "magi" - donzelas da salvação que formaram pactos com as "serpentes" para combater os dragões.

Apelidado de Hal, o jovem chamado Haruga Haruomi ganha a vida facilitando os pactos dessas meninas.

No pedido (parcialmente coercitivo) de sua amiga de infância Asya, uma das principais bruxas da Europa, Hal retorna à Nova Cidade de Tóquio após sua ausência por três anos.

Acompanhado pela bela Asya cuja aparência rivalizava à das fadas, Hal está correndo por todo o lugar para garantir sua base de operações e cuidar de assuntos relacionados à transferência escolar, quando o dragão de elite Soth de repente ataca!
