About Us

Baka-Tsuki (BT) is a fan translation community that hosts translations for light novels in the Wiki format. Founded in 2006 by Thelastguardian (初代 - 2006-2016), Baka-Tsuki has since expanded to become the largest fan-based English light novel agglomerate on the Internet. Apart from physically hosting 252 projects in 29 different languages, Baka-Tsuki aims to promote the popularity of light novels and serve as a hub to connect readers with fan translations of East Asian light novels on the Internet. Baka-Tsuki is not a translation group. Independent translators come to Baka-Tsuki and voluntarily upload their translations to the Wiki for public sharing. 23 Nov 2017 Wiki upgraded The site maintenance over November 17-19 is concluded. The wiki has undergone major updates, please mention any problem in the Discord #Support channel. 13 Nov 2017 Site downtime November 17-19 Site maintenance is planned for November 17-19. The site is likely to be either read-only or fully inaccessible during the maintenance window. 28 Aug 2017 Executive Council selected The Baka-Tsuki Executive Council members for 2017-2018 are hobogunner, KLSymph, Lunar Vitae, R~S, and zzhk. 25 May 2017 Site downtime May 28th, 22:30 CET Site maintenance is planned for May 28th, 22:30 to 23:30 CET. The site (wiki and forums) will be inaccessible during the maintenance. 17 May 2017 '17-'18 BT executive council nominations open We have started the annual process of looking for volunteers among regular BT contributors to join this year's executive council and help resolve/decide policy on the site.
