"Mushoku Tensei -Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu-" (無職転生 ～異世界行ったら本気だす～) es una novela ligera escrita por Rifujin na Magonote e ilustrada por Shirotaka.

Su versión como WebNovel fue concluida y el autor actualmente se encuentra añadiendo material adicional para la misma.

Además, se están publicando volúmenes en formato de novela ligera escritos por KADOKAWA / Media Factory; y también un manga basado en la novela que está siendo publicado en Monthly Comic Flapper.

Sinopsis

La historia trata sobre un muchacho que se encierra en su casa tras sufrir una enorme humillación pública sin atreverse a salir durante varios años debido a los traumas que esto le ocasionó.

Se trataba de un chico normal, con pequeñas ambiciones y un futuro por delante que cometió el error de meterse con gente en un arrebato de orgullo. El resultado fue que lo colgaran desnudo en la entrada de su instituto a hora punta para que todos sus compañeros y profesores pudieran verle en todo su esplendor.

Incapaz de soportar esto, se encerró en casa sin querer salir ni volver a ver a sus compañeros y durante años el miedo a salir creció y creció, acabando por convertirse en una carga para su familia... hasta el día en que sus padres murieron.

Sus hermanos, cansados de su actitud, de la forma en la que había desaprovechado la vida y en el parásito que se había convertido; lo echaron de su cuarto y la casa a la fuerza, dejándolo en la calle con lo puesto.

Y justo en este momento, aunque tarde, se arrepintió de su actitud. De no haber sabido aunque sea salir adelante en ese cuarto suyo, de no haber aprovechado las oportunidades que tuvo encontrando y de haberse rendido a la menor dificultad. Pero una cosa era segura, no sobreviviría ni una semana sin dinero, ni ropa, ni un lugar en el que dormir.

Justo en este momento, unos chavales discutían en medio de la calle sin darse cuenta de que un camión se acercaba a ellos, y el chico pensó:

"Sabiendo que voy a morir, prefiero al menos hacer esto, para no arrepentirme."

Y murió aplastado tras salvar al primero de los 3 chicos.

Cuando volvió a abrir los ojos, se encontraba en el cuerpo de un bebé recién nacido en un mundo propio de dragones y mazmorras, donde la gente podía usar magia y peleaba con espadas.

Y en ese momento, demostrando que su arrepentimiento iba en serio, decidió que en este mundo y de ahora en adelante, se esforzaría por tener una vida plena.
