“Okay, we have three more character design roughs this time, so let’s introduce them.”
“Let’s see, let’s see. Who are we covering this time?”
“Why are you two so accustomed to this already?”
●Kunugi Design Rough
- Kunugi Takeshi
“So first up is me, but is that a good idea when my identity still hasn’t been revealed?”
“It’s fine! I haven’t even had my name revealed yet!”
“That doesn’t make it fine. That just means we’ve grown accustomed to doing things the wrong way.”
“But it feels like you’re finally making an appearance, doesn’t it?”
“Yeah, but that appearance still only a small one.”
“You seem pretty gloomy right from the outset.”
“Sorry about butting in like this, but with our class, this would devolve into cannibalism almost immediately.”
“Yes, it’s kind of surprising but reassuring that it isn’t happening here.”
“U-um, anyway, it will eventually be revealed what kind of god Kunugi-san is, but I imagine some people will be able to figure it out from the bandana colors and that he’s the head of the art club.”
“If you take a close look at the text on his lame T-shirt, you might be able to figure it out from that too.”
●Tenma Design Rough
- Sugawara Tenma
“A genderbent version!?”
“Neshinbara-kun, you need to calm down, okay?”
“Tenma-kun, anyone who has studied for their entrance exams will have heard of your name. Why she is a girl is explained in the story.”
“Yes, I really was just someone who wanted to read books…”
“Politics is such a pain, isn’t it?”
“But, Omokane-san, you love politics, don’t you!?”
“So Tenma-chan’s uniform is black?”
“That would be the personal color she chose. For gods with a specialized personality, things like color can provide divine protections. Black and gold are divine protection colors for Tenma-san, so that’s what she wears.”
“The uniforms generally have a blue base, but that is for this Shinto-oriented Divine World. There are other standards, but a personal color is something else entirely.”
“Also, her eyes are red because she was originally a curse god, or rather a vengeful spirit that rose to the level of god.”
“It isn’t because I stay up late reading, okay?”
●Sumeragi Girl Rough
- Sumeragi Izumi
“Ohhhhhh! Ain’t I cute!?”
“Calm down. I’d be way cuter as a girl.”
“Great idea! Great idea! If that happened, we’d definitely have to go shopping with arms linked and share a crepe!”
“Don’t you do that already?”
“Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! We’re supposed to be talking about me! Me! Now go!”
<The ape somehow got even more annoying after becoming female.>
“You’re a boyyy who was turned into a girrrl by a banana?”
“I feel like you tick me off more as a girl.”
“Surprisingly, it doesn’t feel weird at all to have you in the bathhouse with us. Maybe because I was already tuning you out as background noise.”
“But she’s pretty loud and annoying when playing video games.”
“Is this how everyone treats my human upperclassman?”
“Yep, it’s pretty much always like this! Jealous!? I bet you are!”
“Um, it was weird at first, but once I saw you jumping around and making silly faces, I realized it was only your sex that changed, which was weirdly reassuring. Also, your clothes are actually a new-style boys uniform with boys wide work pants worn on top.”
<Because she is still registered as a boy. Getting new clothes would have been a pain, so I just threw together something that looked girly enough.”
“Eh!? You put together my outfit!? Are you my mom!?”
“I think it looks good.”
“Hey! Talking screen! I’m calling you mama from now on!”
<Wow, that’s creepy. Really, really creepy!>
“Well, that about sums it up.”
“Some of that got dangerously close to things we’re familiar with, so I’m not sure if that means it’s a big world out there or a small one.”
“Well, it is all a single connected world.”
