Rental Magica is a light novel series by Makoto Sanda. It has been running in Kadokawa's The Sneaker since 2004 and is completed at twenty four volumes (Including 1 Side-Story Volume) and spawned an anime series.

Story Synopsis

There is more magic in the world than people think.

There is more mystery in the world than people think.

The incredibly shy and weak high school student Iba Itsuki inherits his father's magician dispatch company, "Astral," after his father's disappearance outlasts seven years and his father is taken for dead. However, he has trouble getting used to the work involved with being president of the company, and also has a hard time dealing with his employees' wild personalities.
