Our Journey to the End of the Ceasing World (旅に出よう、滅びゆく世界の果てまで。) is a light novel written by Tadahito Yorozuya and illustrated by Houmitsu. Only one volume has been released since 2008.
Story Synopsis
The story revolves around a boy (Shounen) and a girl (Shoujo) who travel together in a world that is gradually nearing its end. Reason for this phenomenon is a mysterious illness that entirely erases the existence of its sufferers. The story does, however, not focus on the tragic aspect of this fairly post-apocalyptic setting, but rather shows the people and events the two travelers happen upon during their journey.
Characters
The Boy
In charge of the driving and other technical tasks. As the settled part of the team, he always has to cope with the wild nature of his female companion, but he seems to gladly take up that task.
The Girl
In charge of the foodstuff and meals. Seems to be attracted to the boy, but judges that "the right time has not yet come". Loves to eat, sleep and bathe... and to prove her combat skills on the boy.
