I had to study the health effects of microwaves and I can say with a lot of certainty that they are not carcinogenic, that's just a myth that comes from anti-microwave movements (people who want to banish microwave ovens from kitchens). It's true that they can get rid of the bugs in a flash with it, but the cause would be them being cooked up (and if the power is enough, their DNA breaking in pieces, but they would have been already dead by boiling by then).--Kemm (talk)
