What parts of the novel were covered by the anime? ~~Astralmeson

Light Novel Status
Is this series, the originals in Japan, ongoing, hiatus or finished? Because seems to me that at the begining the time between each volume was little, but in the last pass almost 2 years... so i'm confused because of that, and because of the cover of vol. 12... So... Finished, hiatus or ongoing?

Volume 13 Ending
I read the ending a few times but couldn't seem to understand it. What was going on? Can someone explain? - Ceberus
Alright, I'll try to explain it as simply as possible. The world of Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, the story that it was, is over. The universe ended. Hiroshi will become the next person to create another story. It won't be Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou anymore. It will be an entirely new story. And that story, that universe, will end and someone else will make a new story.
That seems like a pretty....sad ending. Was that the purpose? I mean compared to all the other volumes it just seems like a weird turn of events. I'm still trying to understand what happened as well. Are Akuto and the rest of the world actually dead? they said they were going to another universe but are they alive in that place? And I got really confused in chapter 5. It's a rather classic idea. Every story ends sometime, somehow, either with a conclusion of some kind, or even just the storyteller stopping. However, a "properly" closed story has certain conditions. Superman will never be able to sit down, retire, and take it easy because of how stories are. There's going to be some conflict that brings him back into the limelight, or he'll die in the process. This story resolves it, but part of the problem is that this style of ending intentionally is open ended and leaves a lot to interpretation, but here's my attempt...
A and company escaped out of the story, to live on and do whatever-- elsewhere. Off-screen. Where, since they are no longer fettered by an author and audience, A's distaste of fictions can be shed, and a peaceful life obtained. (Sophie's World, effectively a novel-length primer on philosophy, covers this idea.)
Chapter 5 is narrated by Hiroshi in a constructed world. Akuto sought a way to resolve the story, but you can't exactly do so from inside the story... So Hiroshi became the author of a story called Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou, in that world, and gave it a conclusion.
My personal, preferred, reading of this kind of twists things into a mobius pretzel, but is that this ENTIRE series that we read was written by Hiroshi, in the afterlife world. (While simultaneously being the character. Hence the pretzeling.) As such, he doesn't get an off-screen ending, and he becomes a Law of Identity through writing, creating, and controlling, the next story. ...This would probably be clearer if it wasn't 430 in the morning for me. -Venthus --75.140.7.38 06:44, 20 August 2014 (CDT)
All I have to say is, this is the most confusing shit ever.
This is exactly how I understood it as well... which makes it pretty damn sad for Hiroshi. ;_;
Also this kind of ending, IMHO, undermines all that happened in the story. All of Akuto's achievements, pain, suffering and happiness alike, all tossed into the bin.
Like creating a masterpiece only to be told that you have to leave and it has to be left behind...

The project was removed since J-Novel has already released the first part of their translation. Just a note, Rokujouma was a special case that had an agreement between the translator who posted to BT and the publisher; that's not the case here (at least as of a week ago), so this project follows the standard BT procedure. --Cthaeh (talk) 15:12, 9 May 2017 (CEST)
