Thanks

Thank you very much for your translations. But it is a pity that the volume 1 isn´t translated, it feels a bit awkward for me to read from volume 2. Is there somwhere at least a summary of V1?--KaprJarda (talk) 12:17, 15 October 2012 (CDT)

You can read the manga, it does a pretty good job of compressing the events of volume 1.--Hayashi s (talk) 12:27, 15 October 2012 (CDT)

But I still want to read vol 1. The LN always has more detail than the manga or anime. Important points too. Zero2001 - Talk - 18:08, 15 October 2012 (CDT)

I agree, although I just read vol 2, I still would love to read vol 1. Oh well, I will wait (im)patiently until it gets translated. Thanks for the translations that have been done. Bilagaana (talk) 03:28, 22 October 2012 (CDT)

Re: Editors

Dear prospective editor. Thank you for your interest in Unbreakable Machine Doll. Before you click on my talk page to ask whether you can be listed as an editor, consider this: I don't fucking need one. I can assure you I shoot grammatical errors on sight. What I do need however, is a dedicated editor.

What's that, you ask? A dedicated editor's job is to go through the English text for inconsistencies with the original raw JP text, and if you can perform at that level, why the fuck are you here? Go apply to be a translator, God knows we need a few more.

Excuse me Hayashi_s, but I don't think what you are doing is right. This is a wiki. You can't just throw everyone out. Posting stuff here means you have to understand that it's going to be edited. We've worked fine until now. But you've just used Teh Ping's changes to just shut all of us dedicated editors out completely. Not to mention you used such abusive language. Did something happen? Zero2001 - Talk - 23:39, 4 November 2012 (CST)

The original purpose of editors was to help those whose command of the English language was weaker than the language than they were translating from. However when an editor's grasp of the English language is inferior to the translator's own, then having an editor becomes redundant. --Hayashi s (talk) 23:46, 4 November 2012 (CST)

That still doesn't mean you remove us like that. Is this because of the bobble SFX thing. I only asked to confirm it you know. After understanding I stopped asking you to change it. I even went so far as to give a link to a funny video so that you would laugh and it would lighten the mood. I had absolutely no ill-intent. What is this? Zero2001 - Talk - 23:52, 4 November 2012 (CST)

Throwing us out like this is like not acknowledging the help we have given so far. It's wrong of you to do so. And I hardly think our English skills are so bad that you need to consider us inferior. Even if you think you're so good there will be times when you make mistakes. Shutting us out like that is wrong of you. I humbly ask that you reconsider this action. Zero2001 - Talk - 23:57, 4 November 2012 (CST)

Furthermore you're not the only translator that's contributed. Stellarroze has too and we've edited her work as well. If you remove our names it's just like taking a translator's work and publishing it as their own. It's seriously wrong. I beg of you. Please reconsider. Zero2001 - Talk - 00:32, 5 November 2012 (CST)

G'morning Zero. Please don't drag my name into this...especially as I've done nothing compared to hayashi. He's also the project supervisor, so he has the final say so. I think the problem is the fact that the amount of formatting changes you do, outweights the actual editing...Maybe...(well that's what i've noticed) Stellarroze 00:55, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Hey that's got nothing to do with it. I just couldn't find anything grammatically wrong after the first few chapters. He was just that good. Furthermore, he helped teach me a lot. But that is that and this is this. Just because he's the project supervisor doesn't mean he has control over everything and he can shut everyone out. He was being totally possessive and I just told him that what he was doing was wrong. This is a group effort not a one man show. I don't know what got into him it's like he's a totally different person from the hayashi_s I know. And if he wants to just up and remove everything then that's his choice. I did nothing, NOTHING wrong. If you want any proof then see the message he first gave above I for one haven't ever seen him swear at anyone like that before. Something must have happened that we don't know. Something that's affecting him. Zero2001 - Talk - 01:56, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Deletion

Uhm, why were all those chapters of vol 2 deleted? Somehow I would say it looks a little like vandalism, if I wouldnt know that Hayashi was also the translator... --Darklor (talk) 01:33, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Sad ending. --Chancs (talk) 01:36, 5 November 2012 (CST)

so Hayashi s decided to leave and deleted all of his translation~ --Woyo (talk) 01:45, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Oh god, did Zero2001 kill yet another series...? *facepalm* Betacyanin (talk) 01:47, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Hey I didn't say anything wrong. Period. If he wants to act that way then let him. I don't know what his problem is. As far as I know we've had no problems at all. Zero2001 - Talk - 01:48, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Uhm, that deletion is something I cant understand... Baka-tsuki is a wiki so it is supposed that text will be edited. Usually we even encourage editing. He could have asked for a page protection to prevent unwanted edits like it was done for the first chapters of Toaru Majutsu no Index --Darklor (talk) 02:08, 5 November 2012 (CST)

And I've never killed a series before so could you please not smear my name unfairly. Zero2001 - Talk - 02:09, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Yeah I know. Something seems wrong. It's like Hayashi_s became a completely different person in the past few days. I hope he's okay. Zero2001 - Talk - 02:10, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Eh Darklor, does that mean if a translator no longer wishes for his translations to be on BT (true in this case), he can't delete it? Florza (talk) 02:22, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Welcome to the rage against Zero2001 campaign everyone... >_< Stellarroze 02:27, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Even you, Stella? Zero2001 - Talk - 02:30, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Just what is going on? Zero2001 - Talk - 02:30, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Don't worry Zero. It's just that everybody now has got a chance to pull your leg :P --Chancs (talk) 02:33, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Zero, I have nothing against you personally. I was just making a statement about the current situation. Stellarroze 02:39, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Don't worry Zero you just killed a potential Translator. You lit the powder-keg more to follow. --Lllllllllllllllll

Is see it like that: He could have asked Oni for the deletion. If the deletion was done by Oni I wouldnt have said or done anything, but with a deletion out of the blue one could assume that there is a hacked account who likes to disrupt the order of the wiki. --Darklor (talk) 02:48, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Sadly, that is mostly my fault. I wanted to keep this under wraps. Yes, I know Oni could have done it (after a little while), but the possible questions afterwards are more than the simple matters of the few people worrying currently. This might be more messy upfront, but it is cleaner in the long run. The account was not hacked, and the deletions were vetted. I did verify he wanted to do so prior to him doing such. This certainly isn't a normal occurrence, but it was a controlled one. Hobogunner (talk) 03:05, 5 November 2012 (CST)

So you're saying this was something planned in advance and not something spur-of-the-moment? Zero2001 - Talk - 03:07, 5 November 2012 (CST)

This Lllllllllllllllll guy is seriously annoying. It was his unauthorised removal of my name from the editor list that started this mess in the first place. And that was his very first edit. Check his contributions and see for yourself. All his edits are just centered around me and this mess. Zero2001 - Talk - 03:08, 5 November 2012 (CST)

It was both. This is one of those times you drop your losses and move on. Please, let this simply be, I do not wish to discuss this further. That user problem is a matter not for this talk page. Please do not discuss it here. Hobogunner (talk) 03:13, 5 November 2012 (CST)

So, I have to go through someone who is hardly ever around before being able to remove my own translations... I will have to seriously think about whether I should continue to put my translations on Baka-Tsuki. I believe I should make it very clear now in case people suspect my account of ever being hacked. Florza (talk) 03:18, 5 November 2012 (CST)

There is also the big boss himself - and he usually reacts in short time when contacted --Darklor (talk) 03:42, 5 November 2012 (CST)

What's going on here? why vol 2 deleted? --LiTTleDRAgo (Talk) 08:08, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Actually its more like this guy called zero2001 whose annoying. Guy can't take a hint who denser than a politican. Guy who caused this problem and thinks hes innocence. --Lllllllllllllllll

Lllllllllllllllll: I'm now officially warning you. The only edits you've ever made are to smear my name. And it's getting annoying. Zero2001 - Talk - 20:36, 5 November 2012 (CST)

LiTTleDRAgo: I'm not sure. It started with Lllllllllllllllll here removing my name from the editor's list without any kind of permission and then when I put it back. Hayashi_s just suddenly up and tried to block out all the editors while using abusive language and when I told him what he was doing was wrong he just up and disappeared taking all his work. But it's only for the ones he worked on. The other languages shouldn't be affected unless he worked on them directly. Zero2001 - Talk - 20:36, 5 November 2012 (CST)

So

Will be translation placed back? Or we lost UMD forever here? Gamer (talk) 03:36, 5 November 2012 (CST)

If the deletion by Hayashi was legit, than probably not - only when a new translator can be found who would retranslate the chapters it would be possible to get a translation back... --Darklor (talk) 03:46, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Can we discuss about this with him again? I mean, the reason for the deletion is kinda... negotiable I guess. I believe it would be better if the translation were put back with some restriction/rules from Hayashi. Arczyx (talk) 09:51, 5 November 2012 (CST)

He's thinking about where he should put it. If it's ever back here it'd probably be as a Hosted Project. If anything sealed the deal it was probably the ban. Florza (talk) 20:40, 5 November 2012 (CST)

No, some idiot tried to re-upload UMD whilst pretending to be me. Go thank him, he's the reason you'll never see UMD on BT ever again.--Hayashi s (talk) 21:08, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Well, this escalated quickly... I only have to say:

1.Thanks Hayashi for your translations 'til now, sad it finished this way, but I enjoyed it, if you ever think about coming back, I'm sure you will be welcomed, if you don't, well, it's your option, I hope you good anyways.

2.Zero2001, I'm sure you didn't want this, I won't blame you, but I can't deny (I hope you also don't) you took the big part on this. Don't let your pride win, you should apologize at least.

3.I saw this coming with the previous edits, but I'm not an English speaker (maybe all you already saw it in my text xD), so I wasn't sure about putting my comments before this storm began. Pold10 (talk) 22:24, 5 November 2012 (CST)

->Well, this escalated quickly...

I agree on that one... Kira (Talk) 22:29, 5 November 2012 (CST)

I've apologised just now. Zero2001 - Talk - 22:38, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Why are you apologising? What exactly did you do to warrant an apology? Stellarroze 01:36, 6 November 2012 (CST)

Nothing major as far as I know (it's not like I used any insults) but if it ends this... I'm being bashed on all sides on my talk page with few people taking my side. I'm tired. Zero2001 - Talk - 02:07, 6 November 2012 (CST)

And Florza is editing here. *rolls down laughing* That was completely unexpected. --Chancs (talk) 02:42, 6 November 2012 (CST)

I honestly have no idea why anyone is "mad" at Zero. I think the dude is a bit of an annoyance myself, but people like hayashi shouldn't even come here in the first place. He's a textbook elitist and he has no justifiable reason to take down his translation in this case. It was done out of pure spite and that's pretty silly. Translators like this generally slow growth of the community and can't admit when they're wrong, which is bad for everyone. Don't give me the nine yards on how the translation belongs to you, because it doesn't until you get a license from the creator. Good riddance and I hope someone sets him straight eventually. - 67.175.21.136 (Talk)‎ 03:06, 6 November 2012 (CST)

^^ to help, Section C. --Chancs (talk) 03:15, 6 November 2012 (CST)

Thank you for your irrelevant opinion. When I actually find it in me to care about sanctimonious anonymous users like yourself who like to offer their take without understanding the whole story, I'll write you a proper rebuttal. Till then, happy judging! Just remember, when you point fingers, 3 of them point back at you. Unless you point with all 4 fingers, in which case you're a retard, and there's no saving you.--Hayashi s (talk) 03:18, 6 November 2012 (CST)

It's kind of funny that Zero2001 doesn't understand what he did wrong (hint: Read what you wrote at Re: Editors). Hope you're happy with being credited as an editor on a now dead project. This isn't the first time you've gotten into an edit war with project admins/supervisors/translators and likely won't be the last. - 173.248.193.22 (Talk) 16:43, 6 November 2012‎ (CST)

It has been so long since SAO vol 9 incident, now that incident is repeated in UMD vol 2.

I have reading all the comment from here and zero's talk page, I want to say something about this (sorry if my engrish is bad, it's not my mother's language)

Because professionals don't allow their personal grievances to interfere their work.

I'm agree with you, but at the same time I didn't agree with your action, why? Because with deleting your work (UMD vol 2) is basically you're exploding your anger with zero 'to every UMD reader'

Just because one person pisses you off every UMD fan will suffer. I'm saying this not because I sided with zero or anything because I also think that zero's action and refusal to admit his wrongness is unreasonable

I'm not saying you don't have the right to delete vol 2, you're the translator and you have the right to do so, but I'm saying this in hope that you will reconsider about this. If this deletion is your final option, I won't say anything more about it. Thank you very much for translating vol 2, I enjoyed your translation

No, some idiot tried to re-upload UMD whilst pretending to be me. Go thank him, he's the reason
you'll never see UMD on BT ever again.--Hayashi s (talk) 21:08, 5 November 2012 (CST)

Well I don't know who is that idiot, but I hope you can forgive him.

--LiTTleDRAgo (Talk) 05:17, 6 November 2012 (CST)

Umm LiTTleDRAgo. The page is deleted now but the whole thing that seems to have set Hayashi_s off (the thing with the false/wrong moves), I had realized my mistake and made my realization of my mistake clear long before he suddenly went all possessive above. And no matter how you look at it his ejection of the editors in that manner... Well read the above Re: Editors topic and you'll understand. Zero2001 - Talk - 05:22, 6 November 2012 (CST)
