"Technician's Team" is an awkward term. I think that should be changed to something else.

I don't think so because that is what they called themselves as --Breeze (talk) 18:46, 24 October 2012 (CDT)

I don't think its awkward either but rather it needs a grammar fix. I think it just needs to be "technician team" because it's a team of CAD technicians. That apostrophe and capitalization are misused. --Lighthalzen (talk) 19:03, 24 October 2012 (CDT)

It makes sense to me. It's a team consisting of members who are technicians. What exactly do you think is awkward about it? -milki (talk) 23:43, 24 October 2012 (CDT)

@Milki Try not to overwrite people's messages when posting your own. Also to elaborate on the awkwardness, by using "Technician's Team" you are making the team the possession of "Technician". But again technician isn't such a title of importance that it needs capitalization and the team isn't possessed by a technician so you wouldn't use that apostrophe. For example you wouldn't say "Soccer's Team" or "Technical's Support Team" But anyways I think I'm just going to edit the page and if any editor disagrees with changing "Technician's Team" to "technician team" they can undo it. --Lighthalzen (talk) 00:35, 25 October 2012 (CDT)

@Lighthalzen at the page I linked to from the rss feed, there were no other comments. It appears that the link from the rss feed links directly to a single revision and the edit page uses that revision as the reference point for changes. I'll keep that in mind next time I use the rss feed.

Regarding the issue at hand, I was under the impression that the Technician title was of some importance. A Technician is a proper career category and they are special because they aren't directly competing in the competitions. While there would be more than one team for the Technicians (probably one per school), they are calling it as their own team. I agree that the singular possessive form is incorrect, but I don't know if making it lowercase would be correct. -milki (talk)
