It's obviously Kanako, as she was the only one who was taking cooking lessons from Manami. Plus you have the whole 'she only calmed down after our marriage' thing. Secundum

I would say so. She's timid and the mother was apparently worried about her when she was introduced. If you add that to Kyousuke's concerns about their daughter growing up like her mother... Then there's the fact that Tamura is clearly a very good cook from the start, most likely ruling her out. The worrying also makes Tamura a less likely candidate—presumably they've known Tamura for some time and wouldn't be concerned.

That isn't to say it -couldn't- be someone else. Kanako was a pretty bad cook at the start, too, and her personality might cause -some- concern. It's meant as a continuation of the PSP game, so if there's another heroine who fits the bill then it's possible. I haven't played said PSP game, so I don't know who the datable heroines are. -shrugs-

It is pretty clear that the author is being deliberately vague, though. Even the JA wikipedia page mentions that it isn't outright stated who she is (if I understood it correctly). -shift (talk) 11:58, 24 July 2013 (CDT)

I also think that it's Kuroneko for the reasons stated above and another reason I found. Look at this quote -

"How could I forget them?

Saori, Ayase, Manami, the Akagi siblings, Ria, Bridget, the Mikagami siblings, the Game Research Club. All of my memories about them were still fresh in my mind. I felt happy because at least I could still see them again."

See that he didn't mention Kuroneko? And if you feel that Kuroneko's included in 'game research club', then why would he mention Sena separately in the 'Akagi siblings', and also, Kuroneko was a major part of his life at that time so she would deserve a mention outside of 'game research club' too. So, I think why he didn't mention her is because that she's now his wife, so there was no point in mentioning how he could forget her, and he doesn't have to worry about atleast still seeing her again as they live together now. --Rohan123 (talk) 12:22, 24 July 2013 (CDT)

We cannot conclude anything because the identity of the wife was not explicitly stated by the author(Unless am wrong and the author has actually stated it somewhere), so Kuroneko being the wife is our most logical inference at the moment. --Rohan123 (talk) 00:54, 26 July 2013 (CDT)

well the reason why i think kanako is a possible wife candidate is because of this line "She is clearly practicing. Ahahaha.. I'm pratically wordless after searching for the truth and struggling to accept the ending.. Huhu, Guess my fantacies of Imouto was well blushed off as I read this "Continuation of Ending"... Truthfully, I only loved Ayase (the fateful eye's meeting, described as an Angel) and of course the Goddess Kirino. So I don't give a crap about the rest, especially when the anime elaborates so much on Ruri-san it irritates me.. Ahem, sry for being subjective. Now I will give my objective viewpoint, honestly the ending could not be any better with the current society's perception of this (incest) relationship. So the author as well as the producer of anime really have left the-so-called flaws in the ending to satisfy all of us - that is to choose nobody and leave us iro-iro imaginations. Well, this is kinda great as this trains our creativity in creating the ending we desired in our mind :P The setting of the story is based on modern days, so let's not discuss further about the "10 years later" that could occur in the story as all of us do not know what will exactly happen in 10 years time from now on (I mean our real world's time). Who knows maybe after 7 or 8 years the society might have come to accept intimate brother-sister relationship as normal couple's relationship? Teeheee, that's all from me and wish u all luck, guys~ ;)

If what you meant in the end of your message is that Kirino is his wife, you're wrong. If you don't understand why I'm saying this, read the chapter one more time. But if you said that to make us think about the society and its morals, you're right. We can't know what will happen in 10 years, or even tomorrow. I think that's why we have to appreciate the life as it comes to us.

And, after all, this isn't the end of the novel, right? And I don't think people who don't know that series would buy the PSP game, so I think the game is just for people disappointed with the real end because Kyousuke didn't choose the girl that they wanted. Not having the JA version, I can't say for certain which is correct, but changing "father and mother" to "parents" changes the meaning. The former would indicate a specific reference to their own parents, whereas the later is a reference to parents in general. Capitalization for terms such as "mommy" or "father", etc., would also probably follow an "if it's a substitute for a proper noun, capitalize" designation. E.g., "my mommy will give me sweets" vs. "Mommy will give me sweets".

I'd also posit that changing "twenties of youth" to "years of youth" is akin to referring to the "terrible twos" as simply "terrible years". I don't have the JA, but the zh_CN TL appears to be:

“为什么要做这种事啊，我才二十几岁啊，青春活力的二十几岁哟。”

or, roughly

"Why did [you] have to do that? I'm just twenty-something years old! [A] (young and vigorous)/youthful twenty-something years old!"

Choice of punctuation is my own based on ... I guess you could call them "gobi"? I don't know what they'd actually be called for zh_CN. I haven't used it in long enough that I honestly don't remember what all of the gobi mean in zh_CN or how they should be converted to EN punctuation. Not that it's particularly relevant to the point at hand, in any case.
