Risshun
The traditional East Asian calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. Risshun is the first solar term of the year and is traditionally celebrated by the Chinese and Japanese. It's also the festival which Haruhi mentioned in the prologue. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risshun
Chromium does with Oxygen

In other words, chromium pretty much ignores oxygen.
Ellipsis
Ellipsis = ... Indicates silence or intentional removal of dialogue or thoughts or words within literature. Ellipses is the plural of ellipsis.

Nijo Castle
Nijo Castle (二条城, Nijō-jō?) is located in Kyoto, Japan. The castle consists of two concentric rings of fortifications, the Ninomaru Palace, the Honmaru Palace, various support buildings and several gardens. The surface area of the castle is 275 000 square meters, of which 8000 square meters is occupied by buildings. Maroon?
"Standing on my right, Asahina-san’s long, maroon hair danced peacefully in the wind. Her expression, however, was far from peaceful, just like the darkening of the evening sky before a snowstorm."
This sounds wrong, since Asahina-san's hair is certainly not maroon in official art, and nor is it likely to be, since maroon is a dark red. According to a transcription of the novel, the adjective should be "粟色" - "millet-coloured".
- Hi. The context of the word is in this sentence:
- 俺の右隣《みぎどなり》で朝比奈さんの粟色《くりいろ》の髪《かみ》がふわふわと揺《ゆ》れているが、表情は髪のように軽《かろ》やかではなく、雪を降らせる直前の曇《くも》り空に近かった。
- Here, 栗色 (Pronounced くりいろ / kuriiro) means "chestnut-color" which is actually not that far from maroon. It's possible this snuck in though the Chinese version (Which, since I believe HolyCow translated this chapter, is what was used.) Millet seed is actually a bright yellow (often the main ingredient in bird seed mix) so clearly that doesn't work. I would suggest changing the wording to "Asahina-san’s long, chestnut-colored hair" if any change is to be made. Smidge204 05:56, 28 July 2008 (PDT)
