Everything Will Become F (すべてがFになる), also known as THE PERFECT INSIDER, is a 1996 mystery novel by Hiroshi Mori. It was his debut novel and it won the very first Mephisto Prize for excellence in fiction. Mori wrote the novel in his free time while working as an associate professor at Nagoya University, and actually finished it in only 1 week, writing for 3 hours a night. Mori's writings are often called "rikei mystery," which roughly translates into "science mystery." This is most likely because Mori uses his experience as a research scientist and weaves some kind of a science- or math-related problem into the story.
