Thanks for your comments about the new look of the page! If you need something related to the spanish version you need to check here Maru-MA ~ (Spanish), Baka Tsuki staff told me I need to create a different page for each language, so if you need any help with spanish we can talk about it on the discussion page of that project. I still need to create the page and the sections, but please go ahead and post if you need it. Also, maybe I'm not understanding what you need, are you talking about the guideliness page in spanish? Also, recently I got that page approved, so the spanish version is now official on the page ^^ --RedGlassesGirl (talk) 06:55, 13 February 2015 (CST)

Thanks a lot for wanting to edit Rakuin no Monshou. Just PM me on the forums (same name) or leave a message in the discussion pages if there's anything you're unsure about. --Dohma (talk) 14:29, 24 April 2013 (CDT)

Just a heads up, you should probably read the Project Guidelines before editing, as it explicitly says that British English is to be used. --Draringi (talk) 10:12, 17 December 2013 (CST)

With regards to your edit "... Asking me ‘How is Orba-kun doing?’ and such.” to "..., asking me "How is Orba-kun doing...and such.” The comma and sentence merge is fine, but I believe the changes to the quotes should be undone. The original was the correct way to indicate a quote (single quotation marks) within regular dialogue. And the edit changes what Doug said: in the original, "and such" was not part of what Doug actually said, it implied other similar statements, but now it is part of his quote. --Cthaeh (talk) 21:21, 4 August 2014 (CDT)
Your edits and support is appreciated. I'll leave the problems of conjunctions and punctuation that haven't been corrected to you. --Detalz (talk) 23:43, 25 January 2014 (CST)

You have made some edits in RnM to remove ending periods from sentence fragments that occur in dialogue (such as “You coward.” changed to “You coward”). I would like to change those back, as well as add ending punctuation anywhere that was missing it to begin with, hopefully after we can come to an agreement. I believe the everything should end with a period or other ending punctuation, even if it is a sentence fragment. I skimmed though books I own by 4 different authors, and all of them included periods (or exclamation points) to end similar sentence fragments in dialogue. And I can’t remember ever seeing isolated statements (sentence fragments or otherwise) without ending punctuation. I can go through the chapters to do the edits, but I’d like to make sure you and I just don’t edit the same thing back and forth. --Cthaeh (talk) 18:27, 1 February 2014 (CST)

You're too fast :D I hadn't even finished uploading it! But happy reading and I hope you enjoy getting the answers to your questions. --renuac (talk)
I still disagree somewhat (with your examples of ‘John’ and ‘Spring’ not having a period). Every word or expression that is its own isolated statement (fragment) needs a period or other ending punctuation (! or ?), even a single word, names, or exclamations. --Cthaeh (talk) 18:12, 2 February 2014 (CST)

I’m going to give examples taken from three different (English original language) novels that I skimmed though to look at the issue. I found plenty of other examples similar to those I’ve listed below, but I didn’t see something lacking any ending punctuation. Note that I use // to denote the new line/paragraph (to save space). --Cthaeh (talk) 18:12, 2 February 2014 (CST)

*// “Uh huh.” John thought it over.

::-The short non-lexical vocable ‘Uh huh’ is given a period because it represents what John speaking and is separate from the following sentence. (this is all on a single line)

*// “…, pick your poison.” // “Candles.” //

::-The dialogue (it's a reply) ‘candles’ is the only word in the line. It gets a period because it is a complete statement (a one word response) that is distinct from the dialogue that precedes it or the narrative that follows it.

*…drew the slender blade from its sheath. // Needle. // She thought of …

::-This is in the narrative, and ‘needle’ is the only word in the line, but it’s still a complete statement with a period.

It's our job as proofreaders to find even the smallest of errors so it's fine. You are doing a great job! You don't have to know everything to be proficient in English.Though, honestly I would consider you proficient in English. Tasear

(Sorry, I'm not sure where is best to answer you) Thank you for the thanks, it means a lot. I'm glad you enjoyed the series and the translation, but why goodbye? I hope I can provide other things that you'll enjoy reading in the future. -- renuac
Oh wait, you weren't set in the inactive section? Let me fix, also don't do edits just because you realize your put in as inactive. There was an inactive section for Madan which I made before, but Setsuna remove it entirely b/c the ppl on it edit really little or nothing at all. Just a notice you haven't done much for Madan at all just a handful of edits, don't go making your name bolder as well as to stand out or for whatever aesthetic reason your doing it for. P.S if you remove and the inactive section is scrapped altogether, take it up with Setsuna. --Dual Blades (talk) 23:31, 12 June 2014 (CDT)

Dear Tasear,

  +
Thank you for your interest in Mushoku Tensei,
Your translator for this project took it upon himself to undo changes I had made to the text that made it better. I would like to inform you of this fact because I believe that once a work is translated it is out of the hands of the translator. Half the time, the translator feels that a certain style is necessary, but however, half of the time the style that they insist upon takes away from the readability and flow of the text. Instead of trying to work through the changes I made, your translator decided to undo them all, wiping away the 1.5 hours I spent trying to make your project better through grammar changes, speech inflections and the like. Baka-tsuki is about freedom to change text or we wouldn't be on this site editing. Maybe he needs to be remindd of this.

  +
You are more then welcome to the project, it would especially helpful if you can start with the chapters that are labelled with "editing", "Editing in progress" or "need...editing". You can pretty much see a lot of them at the moment! haha.

Yuppie, I changed the reply I gave you when I mistook you for the weirdo who insults people left and right (^That guy), because you weren't logged in. If you read the old one, reread it, if you didn't, jut read it. --Krytyk (talk) 04:08, 31 January 2014 (CST)

Replied to you in the Antimagic Academy v4c6 talk section. !? is different than ! in terms of novel writing. Agreed that it's not something common with English text but with Japanese text it's more than common. Partially due to manga influence. I didn't undo your change however as I can't TLC. Thanks for your explanation! I have never seen interrobang before, so the concept feels foreign to me. However, in manga the !? is used for a lot of silliness, so that's why I was familiar with it. I must say it's the first time I've heard the concept when I read the talk page. Acolyte (talk) 00:17, 5 August 2014 (CDT)
