1			１２月に、なった。	And so, December came.
2			街はいよいよ街路樹の葉を落とし、 その代わり、駅前には特定の日のための大樹が突然生え、 全体で冬という季節を主張するようになった。	The trees have lost all their leaves, and a large evergreen tree has appeared in front of the station for a certain upcoming special day. The entire city has taken on an atmosphere typical of winter.
3			学園生活最後の煌めきだった学園祭も終わり、 俺たち三年は、残る灰色だけの四か月に、 思いを馳せざるを得なくなる。	The school festival, the last bright event in our school life, has ended. All that's left for us third years now is to plan our future in the following four months of our gray lives.
4			とはいえ、上に大学のある付属校の強みか弱みか、 すでにかなりの学生の進路は決まってるから、 本物の灰色は半分以下。	Then again, putting aside whether our school being affiliated to a university was a factor, a fair number of students already have their path decided, so only less than half of the people will have a truly gray life.
5			その中でも、他の大学に推薦の決まった強者や負け組、 就職を決めた社会人組を除くと、残るは三桁を切る。	Excluding the overachievers who are enthusiastically courted by numerous universities, the students who will be advancing to Houjou University, and those who will be looking for work, that only leaves about 30% of the student base.
6			これは、そのマイノリティに選ばれてしまった人間の、 熱く、そして絶望的な戦いの日々…	And the story that I'm about to tell is of one who belongs to that minority, and of our days filled with hopeless battles...
