Hi guys, i'm mondaiji french translator.

I don't understand this sentence "Yes, the last time they were used was 3 years ago, Calico cat-san. Originally a Water Tree with a Dragon's Pupil was placed on the pedestal of the reservoir, but that too was taken by the Demon Lord." from Volume 1 chapter 4.

Especially Water Tree with a Dragon's Pupil, dragon's pupil it's the student of dragon or pupil mean anything else ?

Thanks =)

I guess 'pupil' is the black part of the eye (of a dragon in that case).

Well, I don't know the series, so I had to read some parts first.

Guess they (Izayoi) won a 'water tree' after a battle?

Ok, imagine, there's a large reservoir for water which looks like it hasn't been used for like 3 years. Guess it's nearly empty.
There also is a pedestal on the empty reservoir.
They planted the won water tree on the pedestal.
Then Kuro Usagi explained, that there have been a Water Tree AND a Dragon Eye on the pedestal a long time ago, but the Demon Lord took them, because he's evil.

The Water Tree and The Dragon Eye are both necessary to fully fill the empty reservoir. Maybe these are magic items!

After that, the Water Tree fills up the empty reservoir. Did you already read the story?

That's what I understood.

As for the 'Dragon Pupil': If I knew the Japanese characters which were used here, I could tell you if it really is a dragon's eye/pupil. But I think it doesn't make any sense to put a dragon's student on a pedestal.

No problem! XD
I did some more research and found out that there's an Anime for Mondaiji-tachi, and the Water Tree scene is at the beginning of episode 3.
Maybe this'll help to imagine what they're doing.
(Though there's nothing about a Dragon Eye.)

It is a Dragon Eye. Iirc, the Dragon Eye amplified the power of the Water Tree, that's why it was capable of filling the whole reservoir.

For more details on the subject, see Volume 6 Interlude.
Though in volume 6 it says Water Pearl instead of Water Tree...

It's heartening to see Volume 10 links gradually turn blue. Thank you for your excellent work, translators and editors!

Dude...he was pissed at that moment. What did you expect? Personally I think its the fact its a fan colored one tat the author enjoyed. But I think the picture is great at portraying Izayoi's emotion.

I would like to help with the translating of mondaiji tachi series. It would be fine for me to be an editor too. Is it possible for me to get a sample to try out first? Thanks.
