Ah, well if someone wanted to create a teaser page I'd update it every 2nd day with a couple pages plus notes. If admin's prefer to wait for a chapter I'm fine with that too.

We'll see what happens first...

I think it's mainly up to you. If you'd like to have a page where you can post your new stuff, no problem creating one. If you want to get a head-start with a project, which directly fulfils the new-project-requirements, no problem, take your time.

EDIT: As requested by Talinnilat, I put up a teaser page, it's already flagged as teaser etc, I hope I did everything right (regarding the flagging, that is).

I finished my translation of the first chapter.

I plan to split my time for the next bit while two things. One is starting the Interlude then Chapter 2. The other is at night's when I've less energy I'll compare it line by line to UltimateOTL's to try and see what need changing. I did notice a couple things I'm sure he's wrong on, and a lot of other stuff is just different views on Amakusa Kanade's irony but I could likely improve a bunch of things and misunderstood others entirely.

After that is done it will be ready for a editing/checking.

To help out editing you only have to proofread the English right?

Cautr has volunteered to do that. The main problem is that I'm mostly machine translating. I'm crosschecking with the anime when its the same but there are fairly big differences. So for my personal edit I'll be rereading it all and comparing my understanding with UltimateOTL's (first page spoilers) and looking for major differences.

I don't want to get too far into Chapter 2 without learning what I can, but I do plan to start posting pieces this weekend.

I'm working several days per week on translating and a few hours a week on improving my Japanese besides that.

I can look it over after your personal edits done. Or the current version, up to you.

I'd prefer after the edits are done. I'll learn more and less work for everyone else. Around the end of the month I'll ask for it to be an official project and that I be supervisor.

If there's any translators interested in translating Volume 2 go ahead and register. Volume 1 will take me a while.

If I happen to be the chosen one to edit it, I'll check it after Inaban's done TLCing.

Oh, and editing isn't just about proof-reading. It's also about sentence structure and understandability, also about formatting. That's why you better like my style or we're bound to clash heads. Just check the OniAi stuff, it's all edited by me. Also hard-editing is about rewriting sentences to make them more natural. But I mostly refrain doing that, because there's a certain charm LN-TLs get with their here and there weird wording, if you know what I mean. It's also possible to destroy puns or character traits by doing that. But, like I said, I don't do that for most of the part. Oh, plus, the editor's job is to nag the TL if something seems off/doesn't make sense. I also check the raws to see if there are correct line-breaks and stuff; only roughly, though.

I understand what you mean about editing and I'm fine with most changes. About the only 'voice' I've noticed and want to keep the same is Amakusa's irony/sarcasm.

Yeah, honestly, I think we both'll be fine. I'm easy to handle, inaban's my witness. Don't give me your skype if you don't wanna get nagged, though.
