Re: Polls
While not exactly an anime poll, this is one that you get to participate in. In Japan, it is common (and becoming even more common) for places to have their own moe mascot. Let me define "places." In this case, "places" refers to anything from cities, to stores, to vending machines, or anywhere that you can affix a cute girl as a mascot. While this may be odd to many Westerners, it is just a part of the run-of-the-mill sites/sights in Japan.
In this poll, you have a choice of 14 moe characters from across Japan. A poll is being run right now as well. However, I think it would be more fun to see who the people at BT think is the cutest or most moe. Please only vote once and for only one character. If you decide to make a list, number 1 on your list will be counted as your vote. Otherwise, enjoy! I will give this poll two weeks from the time of this post.

Re: Polls
Can I ask you something A... are you a westerners or a easterners?
This has always bug me. You always seem to know much more than anyone about japanese culture and tradition but your opinion and your way of thinking and expressing stuffs always seem american.

Re: Polls
I am an American from the United States (just to be clear ), who just happens to have a like of Asian culture (Japanese and Korean in particular). As such, I tend to keep my ear to the ground for this kind of stuff. It is not hard really. You just need to know the places to look.
Your vote?
Edit:
Here are the results of a poll that people voted on, where you voted for the most annoying character of the same gender as the voter. For example, if you were male, you would vote for the most annoying male character and vice versa.
The results of this poll are quite interesting, especially from the women's side of things. Jealous, ladies?

Re: Polls
Some character could have been more exploited indeed. In the manga, the first time we see kiba, tenten, neji, they are like "ok powerfull guys". But then, after Oro's attack on the village, It's only with the animethat we know them better. Indeed Kiba is annoying and tenten is like a "ghost".
They still created a side story about Lee... lol

List of Fall Anime Series That Japanese Fans Dropped After One Episode.
While I can understand numbers one and two on this list, I am kind of surprised by "K" pulling in fourth, along with some of the others that scored "high" on this list.

Re: Polls
Dropping anime after one episode? Well, it's depending on each person, but personally, I think that it's not a wise choice LOL
Personally recall, I'm almost dropped Steins;Gate and Durarara! after watching its first ep; yet, it became more epic after several episodes

Re: Polls
Favorite Kyo-Ani Series.
This one was somewhat surprising.
Most Disappointing Hit Anime Series.
I really cannot disagree too much with this one, except for the fact that it does not cover anything older.

Re: Polls
Indeed. I love this article. It is so true. What are the odds that i'll bump in a girl and she will become my best friend. What are the odd that a girl will slap me without no reason? I have never seen someone getting a nosebleed.
Seriously, it would be so nice if it happens one in a life time to every body, but it's impossible
