Hi Kouen, I'm sorry we didn't reach agreement in the end, but thanks for being understanding about it all, and thanks for the work you've already done for our project. I hope we'll stay friends despite this, and I wish you well in translating OreShura and other future projects at Baka-Tsuki.

*steps back in, puts on hat*

Regarding the rest of volume three's translation, hopefully TheCatWalk will be available. If not, and nobody else steps up, then I will take over, but at the moment I'm still proofreading volume one for our upcoming promotion to main project status so it's unlikely I'll be able to translate before that happens unless we decide to push the promotion back.

Kouen no Ten-san thanks for your hard work :D
Looking forward to the novels that you shall "introduce to the BT community". Just make sure to follow the novel start up rules that our "Manager" does not seem to like to follow... :D
Have fun with your other projects :D

On this note since cat wants to do his new project it seems... KLSymph your the only translator on this project.

By the way I feel like adding lifeman120 to as an Image Editor under Project Staff though I know no other project has this but no rule saying we cant. :P

PS: I had a feeling something would happen. Shame it had to be a fight between translators.

Sorry to see that disagreements caused a good translator to walk away, personally I'm in the category who doesn't care particularly either way, I'd just like to read it period. Thanks for your hard work, and to KLS I hope we can continue to see more translations forthcoming, because I actually like this series.

No i am not gonna tl v3, v4. scrap the proofreading for now and do the tl'ing for v3 (it's up to you though, i just said what 'i' preferred)
one more thing, kls, 'cat' is one thing but please refrain from pushing these issues on any future tl'er that might or might not join in the future. The furigana, and the kenjitsu or whatever, you can use the format you like in your tls but let the other translators use whatever format they like. You can suggest them what might be better but plz, not to the point where it causes them to back off. remember, the translations themself are a tad bit more important then the whatever format you want to present them in.

Alas, there simply is not enough time for me to complete volume three and still finish volume one by the deadline I proposed. I will at least translate the current chapter that Kouen no Ten started, but if we don't push back the deadline, the rest will have to wait.

I know this isn't the common view, but I can't agree with that sentiment. The project is benefited by consistent look-and-feel. There's really no point to me being That Guy and nitpicking everyone if I'm letting the project become a patchwork of different standards without a fight anyway. I feel the project can't so heavily weigh individual translator preference that this consistency becomes compromised, and... well, I know it's a rough sell to other translators, so all I can say is I'll put my money where my mouth is and do the translations myself, if that's what it takes.

Thanks Kouen, Neko, KLS and other translators and editors for your hard work for translating/editing this novel!
The 1st few chapters from vol 1 got me hooked right away, the plot's interesting and so are the characters.

I wish Kouen good luck with other projects, and I'll be looking forward for Oreshura's translations//

Looking at the wiki, all of vol 2 chapters, dialogue, etc is there, so I assume it's completed? ;O

You can go ahead and put them up, lifeman120. I'll have to go over them again with you in the future though, after proofreading volume two, so keep the versions without text.

Well sad to see Kouen go, but anyway life must move on and so must the editing for vol 2.

She had never seen any student with such a strong determination and sense of purpose as Ikki. <-- This sounds very awkward to me maybe, she had never seen a student with as strong a determination and sense of purpose as Ikki's.

Ayase's words that she said she loved his hands which had roughed up because of holding a shinai <--- My suggestion change it to this -- Ayase's words from her saying how she loved his hands which had roughen up from wielding/holding a shinai.

Of course she saw through Ayase's foul play in first glance but she didn't call off the match <--- Of course she saw through Ayase's foul play in one glance or at the first glance but she didn't call off the match.

These are edits/comments for Vol 2 chp 3 Part 6

Oh dear losing a TLer does suck, gl with future projects though!

After reading Vol.2 I won't lie... I'm falling in love with this series hardcore....

I'm hoping the author continues this and it sells well, and we continue to get TLers for this. The joy I get from this series in just 2 Volumes is blowing my mind. So simple and yet so affective.

Sympicchi, I know you disagree but this isn't something you can explain with logic. If everyone here goes with logic then a reasonable young adult (kouen in this case) with enough common sense wouldn't simply leave a project just because some clashes in views in his initial phase of entering the project. He just wouldn't. It more than that. The issue here is 'freedom'. Let me remind you, Baka Tsuki isn't a translation group, it is a place where free and individual translators come to post there works. Simply to share them. Having another person push their views on a translator is probably something that translator will really hate and I'll give priority to quality translations rather than quality 'format' without blinking even once. Some might criticize this but I don’t care and never will. I translations because I enjoy sharing this stuff and I won’t have anyone head butting in here. If he wants to translate with a different format then he can create a different project for all I care okay.

-Sighs-

Dude I'll be straight here: D don’t take this as an insult or anything and leave this project
(I'll cry you know....)

Being all touchy and sensitive about the readability is good and all. But being TOO touchy and sensitive is what 'translation groups' do. But that's not Baka Tsuki at all. This place is about freedom that a translator wishes. So here's the thing, I don’t care what format you use on MY and YOUR translations. I trusted you with this from the beginning and I intend to leave it all up to you. But if another translator wishes to translate this in another format then don't touch his translations lest he allows you to edit (of course the wordings, typos and grammars you can touch since you’re an 'editor' lolz) BUT about the format. You can suggest him but don’t push too far. Absolutely not allowed Nyaa~

I don’t want to see any future translators leaving this project because of clashes between his and the editors standards. I ask you to understand this because I won’t be changing my mind about this matter. I'll put a formal announcement at the top (when I feel like it) and I don't want to hear any detailed arguments (call me illogical if you want, I won’t deny it). Anyway, I'll be looking forward to see those completed translations of volume 3. and u have absolute freedom over it. (cuz that is BT)
