Agreed, I think the author should make an AU story, where evhe and xins get a happy ending after overcoming many trials together.

AU = Alternate Universe, you really should read fanfic once in a while.

I like this series....but for some reason...i dont have AS MUCH attachment to it ...as the the sequel series (Hyouketsu Kyoukai no Eden) [ http://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=69179 ]........maybe its biased due to the fact i strted the sequel first....

i mean the translation is great.....but i wish that there was like a summary thing going on...since the stuff and certain details that are important and occur in this one....are important background info for the sequel...altho..im pretty sure we can read the sequel without em...i feel incomplete......by not doing so....dammit...more of the sequel is done... and i want to continue it...but whats this gaping hole

So I am finally driven by a large enough desire to read the rest of the story that I would be interested in becoming a translator for this project. I will be the first to admit that while my vocabulary / listening is somewhat high, I am very rusty on my reading skills.

That said I do have a fairly good comprehension of Japanese, I have translated a few chapters of manga back back in college. And I want to read the end of this story darnit!

Couple of questions I have are
1. How do I go about applying?
2. If accepted where would I acquire the raws from?
3. Is there anything else that would be important to know?

Hi Catahn,

There's no need for you to apply to translate. Just make an account on the wiki and put your name next to the chapter you want to translate over here: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index ... ation_Page . I'll PM you link to the raws. As for your third question...I don't think so. :)

Thanks Stellarroze.

I apparently can't reply back via pm so thank you for the links.

As far as the wiki goes... well I'm having problems creating an account but that is already posted in another thread :p

Can I go ahead and take over the final chapter of Volume 1? Seems like it has been a while since we've seen anything from Mystrael. If not I can pick another chapter.

Well, it'd be nice to write on his talk page and see if he responds. Technically, yeah, he's in the MIA phase, so you could take over for him; however, there's no telling if he's got it done or not and just hasn't uploaded it. It'd probably be best to just go onto a different chapter and if we don't hear from him by the end of the month or year (not that far away), go ahead and jump in.

I can probably do that. Though I may just start translating while doing another chapter for my own sake cause I hate skipping in stories ;).

That they can be. And man does recovering from them take a bit of time.

Ok so I'm realizing how rusty my reading comprehension is and yet at the same time my friend helped me find a nifty Japanese word processor that he and I used back in college. JWPce if anyone cares. I'm quickly picking it up again pretty quickly (probably due to how much I recognize auditory wise).

二奏 = second play right? So the <#>奏 on the right hand side is the way to distinguish between chapters?

Edit: Oh and stellarrose or whoever did the scans, these are beautiful. So crisp and clean and easy to read. I can remember a few chapters of manga that I did that were downright impossible to tell what kanji was being written on the page. This makes it so much easier to look up Kanji using JWPce (or any other tool I'd imagine).

Also I'm glad I haven't forgotten everything even if I am a bit rusty.
