What made you think about your cybernames?
My origin for "Chancs" was like this:
I was a huge fan of Jackie Chan whan 'was a kid and used to watch his animated series on CN. Thus came the name "chan" from there. Then when I tried making gmail account, damn...the name always came to be in use and the recommendation were like chan***( * represents some stupid numbers and such). Thus I decided to move on to the next level "cs". Counter Strike...yaaa...how we used to play CS continuesly during our Computer Lab sessions instead of learning C++.
Thus from that day "Chancs" was born. ^ _ ^
What about you guys?

Mine is a reference from "Shadow Star Narutaru." I tacked on the "9" because it is my favorite number.

Many reasons, but I decided on Kira.
Mainly because of Death Note, which I'm a huge fan of. But also because I like how it sounds. The "0802" comes from the 4 first number of my ID card.

Wow. That takes some guts to use even part of your real name anymore.

Re: What made you think about your cybernames?
this question actually reminded me of when i joined BT, shortly after i picked up Haruhi's anime..
mine's 2 words that mean the number 7, "shichi" and "nana(tsu)". since either was too short, i just decided to join them, therefore shichinanatsu and its variation outside of BT, shichi_nana. the 7 was from reading into western occultism, being the number closest to God, perfection and completeness, and because the 7th bodily orifice is responsible for life... now that i remembered, i should have just gone with "yare_yare" instead, kyon's catchphrase that is..

I chose this because I really have an affinity for the Greek alphabet (being a physics student does that for you) so thats why I used Omega in a lot of my names (omega is the last letter in the Greek alphabet, and the functions as the end of a set, which I found kinda cool). Hex Omega came from Opeths awesome song of the same name, which was one of my favorites for a very long time.

Eusthenopteron is a genus of prehistoric sarcopterygian (often called lobe-finned fishes) which has attained an iconic status from its close relationships to tetrapods. Early depictions of this animal show it emerging onto land, however paleontologists now widely agree that it was a strictly aquatic animal.[1] The genus Eusthenopteron is known from several species that lived during the Late Devonian period, about 385 million years ago. Eusthenopteron was first described by J. F. Whiteaves in 1881, as part of a large collection of fishes from Miguasha, Quebec. Some 2,000 Eusthenopteron specimens have been collected from Miguasha, one of which was the object of intensely detailed study and several papers from the 1940s to the 1990s by paleoichthyologist Erik Jarvik.[2]

Re: What made you think about your cybernames?
My name comes from my old username when I was a runescaper. I was 9 or something at the time and i had sympathy for villans thanks to power rangers and pinky and the brain and so I wanted to become an evil wizard (or genius, whichever would fit the situation). So I came up with dark wizard, but since i wanted it to be easy to type I got darcwizrd. Plus it looks cooler than actually writing it out. But out of all the stupid and embarrassing names I've come up with over the last 8 years, this is the least embarrassing.

Re: What made you think about your cybernames?
What a coincidence. I used to play runescape until I completed all the free quest. My user name was wisekiller7 back then. Sounded kinda lame so I changed it to wildk, wild-killer.
Another way you could put it is a derviation from my name, Will Kwok -> wild k or wil dk
My other alias is wilram217, the same reason for for wil part.
Ram stands for my favourite class of robots in the game Bots, and 217 came from the movie Transformers.

Re: What made you think about your cybernames?
Well, that's simple. I just so happened to get into alternative rock (Linkin Park, yeah , so it was the first thing that came to my mind. Then I added numbers of important year for me~ And that's it, I've been using this nickname for a while.
My longest, in terms of time, nickname is... my name. Lame, I know, but I didn't want to abuse my imagination~
Now, I have another nickname which is R.LocK. There are some hidden meanings, so I won't explain it entirely. I can only say that it was Nasu's fault
