I have to say gl to you if you do get to do it considering there are 30 volumes atm. I did like the anime though. Was an interesting premise. The manga failed horribly though.

to get this approved, they have to be notified first. Getting a hold of them is hard for me for a lot of reasons (one, no ms live).

Are you sure it's still ongoing?
Searching on kadokawa.co.jp doesn't seem to return a single volume after February 2011.
Though it confirms the "30 volumes" number, plus a few extras.

As far as I know you'll have to ask Oni or the big boss himself for that, but for an approval for full project you'll need at least one completed chapter - but for teaser project you'll need only some little more and you wouldnt really need those both for an approval

So I guess if it doesn't get approved, it can be placed in the teaser page. Maburaho doesn't have a short prologue. It start off with a long chapter 1. So it can't be done right away. I can't finish it in 1 week deadline, that's ridiculous.
