Kirito(as anyone) gets anything they invest in. He's earnest; tru japanese putting others before him; ready to risk and protect. He reaps what he sows (in good environements, with good nurture and care)
In part of the wonderfull community and life dignifying entertainment I too gladly boldly fearfully colour our esteems:
gladly for It's filling experiences and partnership
boldly solicitous on these opposite attempts of dignity depreciation
Since most oppinions seem related the black gigaes caedar sword I'll attempt a premature description but don't make this of a big deal.
Spoiler! :
-made from a high life-absorbing and sun-absorbing tree(high grade fluct-light and spell power absortion)
-made from a controlled growth tree(excelent energy flow distribution, regeneration ability, kirito fails to focus his energy release, it bursts in all direction instead in a single point, the [sword tip] )
-made from the best offspring of the tree(highest branch with the most "sun" absorbed, best genetic material and best careness/nurture)
-made from a living entity(it has it's own lifeforce and memories, more living than a metal sword)
-made from high absorbant tree with crazy long roots(crazy action range, crazy absortion range so I wonder if an direct opponent can last long and without armor)
-made contact with at least 3 souls: it's parent gigaes caedar, many generation wood cutter's but mainly kirito and eugeo, wielder kirito and the smith/craftsman Garrita;
I made connection that in Underworld object memories are fouded by the artificial souls(parents) by pouring their [soul feelings imagination(beauty insight)] into them
A hammer u are more used in real life improves it's reaction. It has to do with frequent energy transfers, reaction is at peak when the hammer "burns" reversing the heat transfer back to you. It has to do with the more accustomed you are to it and maybe ..it to you too.(similar kirito-elucidator bond)
This little likely SF novel connects reality thus why I enjoy it.
-living entity: it grows constantly feeding through fluctlight, soul connection and duels: if properly cherished it won't ever need repairs, it's object class will grow too on it's own and after class level 50 it will be able to perform 5 consecutive hit skills
-easy to hurt someone with it on close range even if the sword does not touch the victim
Tough I remind you: the sword of [expression] and [faithfull activities] often result in creation being the opposite of destruction probably generated probably by tool of war or a powerfull (uncontrolled premature) knowledge.
Do enjoy the MMO called life xD. The more to enjoy the more exp ; organized collective on greater works does bring alot more exp even if they'd fail just carefull on the resources; don't throw all Zephyria seeds in a small pot

Good post.Still needs to wait for the rest of chapter 4 to see if you are right about the sword skills, but it makes sence The other factor is Kirito has the proper respect for the life there. I am not sure of only other
player who could last so long there and still stay sane or not break the Tabbo Index.
Yes and that actually Kirito admits he isn't able to overcome "their trials" alone.
In Aincrad he interacts with many players, guilds for the common goal of completing the game. Mainly he receives help from Asuna and Heathcliff(Kayaba Akihito) realizing that they can no longer team up to complete the game and asking Kirito a death duel wile disabling his game master protection. Kirito lost yet overcomming his loneliness & some fears and in party with Asuna.. something like good skill and a thin coincidence(similar to ALO) completes the game.
In ALO Kirito is helped by Lisbeth, her friend, Asuna(card key), Yui, the Caith Sith-Sylph alliance and finally Kayaba Akihiko.
In GGO Kirito has Sinon as partner.
In Underworld he forms (aiding) strong bonds with Eugeo, Solterina and probably more "inhabitants".

I sure did confuse one the many names.. was referring to Kirito's cousin, Suguha
And I forgot at the last part: Alice and her family(if I may say including her "minimized disciple" living on Kirito's head). Alice's made good cooking, lighted the cave, transferred her life units to save Kirito, Eugeo and her sister Selka etc.

Volume 3 Chapter 4 is protected against editing by non-"Editors". Is there a reason for this? I've edited a couple of other LN's on BT and haven't had this problem. I get distracted when I come across bad English grammar in a LN, and it annoys me when I can't correct it.

It's protected from edit by anon, registered users should be able to edit. I assume you didn't login when trying to edit?
Edit: Yeah, you were spot on. I must have been logged out. Strange, I'm always logged in, so I wonder what happened. Browser issue maybe? Well, ANYway, thanks.
In other words Kirito is living the thug life to the fullest and getting new minions everywhere he goes o.o my respect for Kirito just keeps going higher and higher xD

Just wait until the send him the first UV bill for computer use.
In awaiting for the last parts of Vol 10 to be translated I've been rereading some of the story of the SAO arc. With all the sidestories like in Vol 2 or 8, I was wondering when the author is going to tell the full story about 'the raid' of Laughing Coffins secret hideout and who's sold them out (regarding the ambush). Beside the fact that this sidestory would be epic, I'm also curious because of a theory I have regarding the character Argo The Rat (the information broker).
For me its quite strange that afther SAO Kirito has contacted relatively minor characters like Silica, Linker & his wife, but not someone who's he's been relying on from the start of SAO. My only logical and acceptable conclusion is that she's dead and furthermore possibly died in the battle against Laughing Coffin in their hideout. The evidence is pretty thin, but please hear me out. :P
The first time I started thinking about it was reading the GGO-arc, to be specific the part where Red Eye Xa Xa has a conversation with Kirito while in battle. He wanted to fight Kirito at full power and planned to make him snap (by killing a girl, Sinon in this case), just like the big fight in the hideout during the SAO days.
There are 3 important facts in this dialogue:
1. Someone (important) died during the battle against LC, more regarding this point later. Confirmed by the story and Kirito himself that several high rankers didn't survive the battle
2. Kirito snapped, went beserk for real and killed several persons. Also confirmed by Red Eye, Kirito and the story.
3.That person that died (or one of the persons) was a girl. NOT confirmed, but my intepretation of Red Eye's words and actions for trying to let Kirito snap (again) by killing Sinon.
Now for the somewhat educated guesssing work:
Even when confronted with deaths during some of the fights with floor bosses or other parties Kirito never snapped like that. So I assume that one of the persons that died during the LC battle was someone close to Kirito. Now, funny enough everyone who remotely has something to do with Kirito is accounted for except Argo The Rat (and maybe the female clothes/armor maker who had Asuna and later Kirito as loyal customers). So if Argo The Rat died in this battle, why was she there in the first place as she normally isn't a front line fighter?
I think the key lies with the ambush. For a raid like this, information is crucial, therefore it would be logical to involve Argo The Rat. I presume that something horribly went wrong regarding the intel gathering. For example, she might have gathered correct information regarding the location of the HQ, but that information was leaked by a LC-member to eliminate those pesky high rankers with an old fashioned set-up. Rember that the good guys were on their tails for some time, so they had to do something. Then Argo would go after the party to warn/help them, as many lives were on stake.
I'm not too sure regarding the timestamp of the LC battle (it was mentioned somewhere), but after that there was no mention or involvement of Argo the Rat anymore. For example, the last time Argo was mentioned is in Red Nosed Reindeer (46th floor). In A Murder Case in the Area (57th floor) they could have at least consulted her about the possible killing methods, but she has no mention in this story... :(
Well guys, care to share some of your thoughts? Regarding stories, I would also like to see the battles of the 25th and 50th floor bosses to be retold in full. Any (sub)stories you guys would love to see retold?
I have to admit I have been wondering what happened to Argo for awhile and that does seem fairly plausible. And to add on to that she would have probably had a high price on her head from the LC and other PKers since as an information broker she was always gathering information and it's likely she had gathered lots of information on the LC and other PKers thus making her a prime target.
That is a very good theory, and I would much prefer this over Kawahara pulling out another character just for the Laughing Coffin arc. Side stories I want to see....hmmm....
There's Lisbeth: The anime hinted that Lisbeth used to be with a group/guild of friends, and it would be nice to know what happened to them and what events led to her becoming an independent blacksmith with a waterwheel cottage. Her meeting with Asuna would also be awesome for fleshing out both their personalities and how they ended up the way they are now.
I kinda feel sorry for Recon and Klein, since they never really got a spot in the limelight. Side stories for them, to show how good they actually are at fighting and leading?
I can also see an anime short devoted only to Pina and Yui(nav fairy mode). Many will die from sheer cuteness.
Last and most importantly, I want to see through the eyes of one of the people making SAO(not Kayaba). I want to know what it was like watching an entire world grow from the ground up and being partly responsible for it. This is a good way of indirectly getting into Kayaba's head like with Koujiro Rinko(assistant/lover of Kayaba).
If you got sick of the world, and made it better to gain some peace of mind, would you be selfish or selfless?
