I tend to have a lot of novels in my watch list because that's where i put all the ongoing series i'm reading (a lot) and even a few finished ones that i liked. So for example i did run an update this week-end (last one being a week ago) and got hit by ~6 new chapters and ~200 updates. For new or updated chapters where the translation is published in stages i can download them as i read them, however most of those are minor edits done to clarify/improve the translation, which are nice to have but won't be enough motivation to make me want to read the chapter/book again.
As far as i can see, i've got two possibilities to make sure i've got the latest versions on local :
- redownload the full watch list (both things that were changed and things that were not), long and inefficient network wise though easy for the user (except for the time it'll take)
- download each changed chapter manually (or the full book if many chapters in a novel were changed): long and annoying for the user (and still not an optimal use of network)
I might have missed it but haven't seen a way that would allow me to launch a task to redownload only the chapters which were flagged as updated for the full watch list.

* Would it be possible to implement such a possibility ?
Click Download All in the novel details again, it will only download new and updated chapter.
Dje wrote: * Also regarding the display of all those updates in the window listing all the new updates, it's mostly unreadable when going on for over 200 lines. Having the same structure as in the watch list would be much more practical (or whatever way to group them by serie and possibly by book, with options to download all updated and/or new chapters for that serie or for that book).

* Being able to mark as read a full serie in one go (from the watch list menu) would also be nice, for example when i need to redownload the 30 volumes of the Index serie.
Will look about it.
Dje wrote: * And lastly, i saw that all series in the teasers section are being shown with "Last Update: 43 years ago". Only seems to affect the serie itself, getting in one of them all chapters seem to have a normal Last Update value. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Ace and the last version published on Android market (as i'm on auto update).
Which one?

Refresh and download all info didn't seem to do anything, but after i "delete a novel"'d one and redownloaded it they're all updated with coherent update value.

43 years... It is current date minus January 1st 1970 - start of time counting in linux and C stdlib. Somewhere created new Date, but it's value didn't set properly.

Yap, if the parser failed to get the last update date, it will revert to new Date(0) (or something like that).

Yo, animations are cool...
I think ill implement those ideas he said, and mess with some other animations inside the app.
Also, i have an idea to show a number of downloads/updates above their respective icons on the main screen.

I wont be very active here (i am already not that active -> ) because im on my last month of school to become a full fledged engineer so i gotta study=/

I am going to benchmark the app loading speed and maybe release a 1.1.2 with your last changes, Nandaka.

for Anyone wondering, the App's reception is very positive, with the last major annoying bug (the line overlap) fixed by (correct me if i am wrong) thatdot7 (thanks man).

That's it. im not disappearing, i am just going to study more.

Here, we dont have a "final project"...
We have an ongoing project every semester, and this semester is the automation of a PCB printer (geez) for the university.
We are actually utilizing the schematic of a 3d printer that no longer works, because some stupid "kohais" though they could grab the motor drivers from it, since it was deactivated (As in, not plugged on the power source)... ffs.

Back to the App:
I just did some testing, i just made a test app for fling left/right to change chapters. I may use this code to refactor the dynamic buttons one...
Thats all.
when i get home ill release a new build with nandaka's/thatDot7's/my code. If i get out alive of the exam.

Is there any possible way to changing the database location from the default SD card to the External SD
i.e from mnt/sdcard/Android/... to mnt/sdcard/external_sd/Android/...

I have a few novel volumes installed taking up 2 GB (I spend a lot of time on public transit that goes through tunnels, offline data helps for when I want to read something new after I finish). I would like to put this on my External SD card (which has 32GB storage) instead of my device SD storage (which is 8 GB, -2 For the OS) and would like some of that cleared up space for apps, photos, videos, and recordings that I am in the process of making.

2 GBs!?
Holy cow. I thought that was impossible. I mean 1 chapter is barely 1mb and a full res image is 5-10mb....
Unless you downloaded say 150 full res images you wouldn't get close to 1GB, let alone 2...
Then again, 1 novel=about 7-12 images...
If you're that concerned about it, why don't you clear image cache?
I mean you're here to read not look at the pretty pictures...

Never seen that path before, usually sd card is mounted to /sdcard and I'm using Environment.getExternalStorageDirectory() to get the sdcard path.
