I hope this isn't spam but the wikia for Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance is recruiting, and since Myanimelist got mad at me and there aren't many forums I know of to recruit enthusiasts of the series, so yeah come help we got cute badges for achievements and its almost fully running all we need is information to be put on pages.

Try emland it's where I get most of my Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance pretty sure they translated in Chinese and put it in a nice word document which also includes the captions for the color images in Chinese.

The sites that I go to all do not have volume 10 translated yet. If you would be as kind as to PM it to me I would be eternally grateful, and also be able to do my job as an editor better![]()

On further thought, I guess Leonora's title should go back to "Dragon Princess."
In Volume 10 Chapter 7, she is referred to as ドラクニアの姫君 (Dracunia's Princess).
I would prefer if 姫, 公女 and 王女 could be distinguished somehow (rather than all being translated to "princess'), but whatever.

Re: Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance: General
I think the reason that is so is due to the difference in perspective.
In other words, she IS the princess, but within her own country she's thought of as a 公女 but from outside perspective she's like the 姫.nikuniku wrote:Well, Dracunia is a 公国(dukedom or principality). Just from the characters, 公女sounds like the daughter of its ruler ( I don't remember if this is actually specifically mentioned in the novel). If this is the case, I don't see what's wrong with princess.
From wikipedia:As women slowly gained more autonomy and respect in European history, the title of princess became simply the female counterpart of prince; it does not necessarily imply being merely married to a prince, she may be the unmarried daughter of a monarch or other royal or noble of sufficient rank (king, queen, prince, grand duke, duke, or other). Further, a princess may be a hereditary sovereign, head of state in her own right.

*Looks over* I'm... not an expert on the intricacies here, so it's very possible I'm wrong, but... If Dracunia is a dukedom (or the world's equivalent), I'm relatively certain that the daughter of the ruler there could properly be referred to as "Lady Leonora Lancaster" (that's who we're talking about, right?), but if she's not at the head of the household or married to the right person, I don't think she could be referred to as "Lady Lancaster", since that's different.
Discussed here by a regency romance author, though admittedly, it focuses on the 18th/19th centuries... if "Princess" feels a bit odd, though, this might work better?
If not, please feel free to ignore me here. ^^

while that works, it's more to the fact that one part of her title is 'Dragon' (which I'm assuming is an important title that needs to be retained considering her Dragon Slayer spirit) as in 'Dragon Princess', rather than talking about 'Princess Leonora Lancaster'. Using Lady for the former would be just odd or awkward, while using Lady for the latter is fine, but I don't think that was what we were talking about at all.
