Post by Beware the talking cat »

I just failed my german language placement exam.

It decided I should go into beginning german 2. After I've been learning german for four years.

Worst thing is I can't even talk to my adviser or professor yet, since it's sunday.

Fails just make us stronger.

I can't think better words to explain what I think sorry.

Alfred : Why do we fall, master bruce?

Batman: I know, I know, so that we can learn to pick ourselves up, right?

Alfred: ....well..yes. But 21 bottles of whiskey and 43 shots works just as well.

Moral of the story, drink. it makes the pain go away.

:)

worked for me.

Or you'll get depressed and it will make the pain even worse. Best thing to do is wait and try to present your case to the professor of German 301, or whatever. Anyway, four years of a language in high school is about equivalent to three semesters worth in college.

bottom line. it's not the end of the world.

When i got to my final year in university, i failed miserably, it was like tripping just inches from the finishing line where you were in the top three, but now had to hop just to get last place.

It was horrible and i barely graduated, it was depressing and i had doubts in the career i wanted.

I ended up doing all sorts of jobs, taking anything, because i was disillusioned about my confidence and skill in myself, which result in me going far from home and abroad.

however, eventually, i realised it wasn't the end of the world and i picked myself up. Now I've got a challenging job and its wasn't something i had imagined i wanted to do, or what i would be in three to four years ago, but im pretty content and even now im looking at more things i could do. its not even close to the end.

So, failing this secondary school alternative language thing is nothing, seriously, you have far too much sense, compared to what i was doing your age.

i.e. drinking, skipping classes, spending all my money on porn, games, anime and arcades.

beside dan got the right idea, just challenge your tutor about your score, spin your results, compare to other people that might be considered "worse" then yours, im sure you can lower the class average so that you will pass, no sweat mate.

...It's not the actual class I'm complaining about. I just did badly on the placement exam so they might make me take Beginning German 2, instead of whatever German I want to take. Nothing too big.

In other news, class starts tomorrow. Yay!

What a strange name to give a child.

I hope oni and Migi-san get along well. It wouldn't be good if oni got into an accident at the butcher shop and the two separated.

I wonder if you do know what that name means?

Anyways, the best thing i can say would be...
Whatever doesnt kill you makes you stronger.
Its never the end of the world as long as you dont consider it to be. Things are always there, and just depends on how you see, and act upon them.
God!!
You need not forgive me.
For those I love,
The violence brought about by sinful men
Shall now be used once more.
If you were created to save this world,
If there is a single shred of hope left for the future of mankind,
I am very sorry, but, please begone!

In other news, it doesn't matter I failed my placement exam since my professor is letting me stay in the class anyway. Yay!
