Ga-Rei Zero

So i've seen the first 2 episodes of Ga-Rei Zero, and i'm not sure what to say, well it looks nice and all and the music is pretty nice from time to time, but as far as i can see, then the story is quite different from the one seen in the manga (started reading it recently), although i guess that the anime will somehow relate to the manga at some point (i hope so since the manga is awesome) or is it a alternate story set in the same universe as the manga?

so far the manga seems quite nice, i like the style, loads of action etc worth reading so far

I read the manga, still looking for time to watch the anime, but the manga is good, with lots of hilarious points and all. The style is not bad, comedy with action, and they blends to quite a good extent. Despite some of the artwork not being perfect, the story and jokes are nice. Seeing that first comment makes me wonder how the anime is like... translation or anime... that is the question!!

true, the only bad thing is that the manga is only translated up to chapter 22, cause according to the group translating it, state that Tokyopop can't decide if they are going to license it, however, they will pick it up straight away again if tokyopop aren't going to

I like manga, but do not like the anime all that much. Would have been much better if they just followed the manga as they do not ahve that much of talent to write a story on their own as it seems. Sure they kill a lot and there is a lot of blood and a lot of WTF moments, but characters do not look deep enough to be interested and plot is far from being good...

well ga-rei is done so they can just adapt that. I just hope when they do is follows the character design more than zero did.

Meh. Character design is probably the thing that anime messes with the most out of everything except for plot.
