What model are they? Some Koss headphones/earphones are decent to say the least, but they tend to not be able to bring out the extra sparkle in the music, especially in more complex music that really is demanding of headphones.
Getting back to K-On, here is an interesting link:
Coalguys released episode one in widescreen for anyone who cares. I finally watched it - it's cute but I feel a bit overdone on the "clumsy girl" part for that main girl.
Where the heck did Yui get the skills to play like that?! I have been playing for the last four or five years now, and I cannot shred like that. Plus, I play clarinet, which basically means that it was easier for me to pick up guitar as a second instrument that for most people who have guitar as their first instrument. I know you can get that good if you play every day for a year or two for hours on end. Basically, you eat, sleep, and shower in guitar. Yet, it generally takes about ten years or so to get that good. Another thing that I found interesting is that Mio is left-handed.

... I'd like to say "anime logic" if you were wondering how the hell Yui get such skills and within a short time frame.
That, or it's just that Yui is a great genius in disguise.
This is a place holder to God knows when this owner will change his signature, if he ever thinks of it.
I've known total ditzes and idiots that make up for it with book smarts. Besides, I'm tired of the japanese stereotype that only serious and studious people can score high on tests, it's just wrong.

I think that b0mber brings up a good point though. Although people with nature talent will be good and may be better than those that work like dogs, they will most likely never be able to appreciate that talent as a gift fully until they are challenged. Compared to someone who has to work harder and has less talent for any given activity, they actually may cut themselves short and never reach their fully potential. It is not uncommon to see hard-workers exceed naturally gifted people. At the same time, those hard-workers sometimes can never beat or be on par with those with natural talent.

Huh?
I was only talking about the stereotype being wrong (morally and ethically) since it is over-represented so much by animes.
I found an interesting gem in the last episode in terms of sound. If you watch carefully, you will see Mio when she is her room writing the lyrics for their song that she is listening to AKG K701 headphones, which are kind of like of the audiophile standards for headphone sound. Ironically, she plays a Fender bass and a Marshall amp. Either she does not really know much about sound quality, or she is into foreign things. Regardless, in terms of the sound quality of the two, it makes no sense. Also, my guess is that her family is not too bad off, given that 701's can cost around $300. That is a lot to spend on your teenage daughter any way you look at it.
Concerning the teacher, yeah, she is definitely a case study for the shrinks of the world...
