Re: 吊り気味の瞳
Is this an eye patch? - Probably not - but funny what one can gets with blind guessing from the words Rikaichan is showing.

But is it just about hair that hangs over the eyes?

Re: 吊り気味の瞳
I managed to get this translated into romanji as:
Tsuri-gimi no hitomi
or is that Tsuri kimi no hitomi?
eyes...suspending touch?
something to do with "feeling", eyes that arch/float/lifting with emotion? eye ?or eyes?
hmmm...
like... smoldering eye(s)? Eyes that kind of seem to burn/waver with...something? oh! maybe like mirage eyes?
Well, maybe not the best interpretation, but if i had to choose, something like:
"Her floating/drifting Shimmering/smoldering eye(s)"
Or
"She had Eye(s) of rising Smolder/Mirage"
edit:Wait!
maybe it can be intepreted as: a void?
Eyes that fall into an endless void?
One has only to look into someone eyes and get lost!
"he had eyes of a depth-less Void"

When you look into them, they have a look that seems to hold your gaze, like looking at a mirage on a hot day and you see the image in the distant....shimmering because of the heat?smolder wrote: 1. To burn without flame; undergo slow or suppressed combustion.
2. To exist or continue in a suppressed state or without outward demonstration: Hatred smoldered beneath a polite surface.
3. To display repressed feelings, as of indignation, anger, or the like: to smolder with rage.

Re: 吊り気味の瞳
well, literally, it means "pupils that felt like they are hanging/suspended". unlike "sharp eyes" which I'll translate it to "piercing eyes", I know not how to describe this in equivalent English.
anyway, I loosely likened it to being elastic, and used "ebullience".

Re: 吊り気味の瞳
I might just add that there could be a relation to 吊り目 which translates to slant eyes (or almond eyes, for a better sound).
Though, admittedly, “hitomi“ has a eyeballish nuance to it, so well...
