V6's afterword also hints something.

To be honest, some of Blade Dance's chapters are actually quite short...

Zzhk, can you also translate the text on the color images across the volumes? If you do that, I can photoshop them.

Zzhk translates from Chinese, so it's unlikely he'll be able to do it. Normally the quotes are straight out of the novel, so if you know about where the image is supposed to go, you can probably guess what to translate it as (it helps to know a little Japanese too I guess...).

Sorry but I'm not guessing. I could do it if you gave me the raw text here so I can run it through the google translator in order to get the romaji.

With the romaji and the google translation coupled with the info on the terms used in the translations I could give a somewhat decent version. However it would be better to get a proper translator to do it. Honestly, this is why I posted the pics as a gallery on the project's talk page in the first place so that translation and double checking would be done easily in a more public/accessible place.

If Zzhk can't do it then can any Japanese translator please do it so I can photoshop them? Mizuho? KuroiHikari? Double checking from others would also be good.

Not sure you'd want that. I tried GT for romaji long ago, and unless it's full katakanas, the result could be different from how it's actually pronounced.

Does every single color image from the very 1st volume need it? Also, if I tl them I probably wouldn't use the same words as the translated one in the volume, lolx.

No. Volumes 1-4 are done. What I need is someone who will do volumes 5-onwards. Simply go to the image page, hit the edit button and write down the translation and hit submit. The text will be shown below the picture. I'll photoshop that as soon as possible. I can double check for terminology matching. But I'd prefer one of the regulars to do it.

They have both "Read phonetically" as well as "Listen". I can use that to know the difference between how it's written and read; and using that I can double check at the very least. Thanks to watching anime all these years I can understand a lot of verbal japanese it's just I haven't really put effort into the written part yet.

Sorry, I was unclear in what I wanted to say. What I meant was that the "read phonetically" command is flawed, as there are more than a single way to say a word. Happened to me once as I was taking care of some names. It'd be much safer to simply find the line in the book, if there is one.

The lines are typically lifted from the novel itself. If anyone wants to or is capable, you can find the translated line that matches.

This is insane. I know I was gone for quite some time because I was really really busy in real life the last few weeks, but for the whole of volume 9 to have been translated as well as quite a bit of volume 10 is just overkill

This is seriously killing my will power to stop reading further volumes when an earlier volume has yet to be translated finish. In any case thanks so much zzhk! You are seriously one of the fastest Chinese to English translators out there.

Too bad I know next to nothing about photoshopping, and I can't help out with Japanese as well. Hope you guys do manage to get something out though because that would be really awesome.

On a side note, just curious but where do you find your Chinese sources? The sites that I go to all do not have volume 10 translated yet. If you would be as kind as to PM it to me I would be eternally grateful, and also be able to do my job as an editor better :D

Ahhh it is good to be back!
Don't you just love reading? I think it is one of the joys of life, where we can escape the cold reality of the world and exist in something so much more fun and exciting! ^_^
