That's worse, not better. :? We've got characters "dying on screen" that don't stay dead, given that there's not even any evidence that the off-screen characters have died, it's quite possible the author is randomly resurrecting them without even us noticing!

(Totally not paranoid. Really.)

Yes, I think the PV for it is around somewhere.

Just hope they do a good job with it, especially with the characters since this LN has beautiful characters :D
Don't you just love reading? I think it is one of the joys of life, where we can escape the cold reality of the world and exist in something so much more fun and exciting! ^_^

Below is a rant about this whole "reviving dead" characters thing.
Spoiler! :
Hello, i've lurked on these forums for a while now, but i feel i had to make an account even if only to defend this point of this series. I dont see how people keep complaining about characters getting killed off then coming back. Main 2 situations that are brought up are Scarlet in volume 1 and Restia in volume 6. In both of these cases there is no evidence of them dying, but important characters leaving the scene for a while is a strong plot device. Scarlet's power was already sealed at the time so it makes sense that after using all of its power fighting and being defeated that it would be hard for Claire to be able to clearly tell if Scarlet was ok(plus Claire's mental state at the time). In Restia's case, Im not sure how people can confuse her for dead in volume 6. It was said that the use of the elemental waffe takes the will of both the spirit and the elementist the spirit is contracted to. In that situation, its not like Restia was destroyed she simply used a lot of her power and had to rest for a while. Kamito's connection with Restia through his seal was weak but she clearly let him know that she was ok.
Although this plot device is used quite a few times, its not like its just thrown in to screw with us. Its part of what makes this series different and its done to help the story. This all is my opinion, but I felt it was a view that should be shared. On another note, i hope the anime is as amazing as the light novel.

Agreed, but I'm afraid that the anime will get so much cut scene like DAL does....

Finally got around to reading the latest volume~

(tangent: apologies to the translators for reading it only after it's been released for so long ^^; I usually only drop by Baka-tsuki once every 2-3 weeks.)
Spoiler! :
That ending made me so sad :< I mean he worked so long to get her back only to lose her again. I can understand why she did it but that's really rough. I didn't like how they handled Fenrir being returned if only because it felt too simple and quick. On the other hand, I suppose it's not something I would complain about if it was done in anime timing due to it being spread over several episodes. I'm quite happy with the amount of fanservice for this volume, there's enough to remind you that Kamito is very much in a harem scenario but it's tastefully done imo, much more balanced than the past few volumes. The ending as always leaves a million questions that need answers still which I'm beginning to expect from this author xD (not that it's a bad thing mind!)
Thank you for translating everything so quickly! ^_^

No reason to make a new post about my thoughts on this so yeah.

Based on the manga adaptation,I have to say the adaptation makes it seem very much like a typical male protagonist stuck in a female dominated world (like say Infinite Stratos), I don't see the anime being able to differentiate itself enough to be unique. I'm cautiously hopeful but I honestly can't say I would be surprised if it wasn't as interesting as the novels.

Good LN, but it failed really badly (to me). It has good story, and provides good laugh BUT the first chapters created to me much better exppectations about MC. He started as cool, slightly detached character, with some kind uniqe power. He was "cool headed" enough to not be bullied by archetipical flat-chested and booby-knight tsunderes and win against them with light verbal sexual harassment (he even noticed, that it will be place with only sheltered princesses with no knowledge about this things). So with this promising start, I actually hoped for something new, the character that is able to handle himself well in typical harem setting.

Aaaaaand nope, aparently becoming slave-spirit and spending rest of series, beeing bullied, burned and harassed, without even resisting was his dream. He had enormous potential and it was compleatly weasted so fast.

Kamito is a submissive trap whose wish in life is to be dominated by her perfect husbando Restia. How could anyone not be ok with this?

If you are disappointed in Kamito as a male lead then I don't think there are many fantasy harem type series you will like, I personally find him to be way better than say Saito or Ichika etc. Also, his harem is way better than most harems, I'd say about 20% tsun 80% dere

But the moment their eyes meet, Kamito gave out a cruel sentence: "Who are you?" .
