Administrative Requests Consolidation

Have a question? Not sure what you're doing? How to start a project? Why isn't the android app working? Preferably use Discord or wiki's admin talk, but you can ask it here.

and i'll come round and delete them on my next sweep though the pending project page tomorrow.
How many deletion categories do we actually need?

Someone made yet another deletion template today:

Speedy deletion is a category page for you send a page to a list so that i know what to delete.
The template is a visual notice that'll appear on the page, it can also act as an automatic tag to send a page to a category for listing.

If the template goes to the speedy deletion category page then its okay, but if it goes to an entirely different deletion page thats something that needs to be changed, can't have too pages doing the same thing!

I'm so glad my idea has been implemented to such a degree.

It's just so moving that there are still people who listen.

I've modified the template so that it should now add the said marked pages to the Speedy_Deletion category instead of some new "Delete" category.

It's working just fine now ^^

Actually. I was thinking there should be two different, ie: delete and speedy deletion, categories.

Speedy deletion: for those pages that need no discussion and should be deleted outright (vandalism, spam pages, etc).

Normal Delete category: for those pages that might require discussion (teaser project that hasn't had even a single chapter uploaded for months after creation, incident like SAO 16.5, etc)

Well that's how other wikis do stuff. I'm just saying. I'll leave it up to you guys.

This series appears to have a volume translated (and has active translators) but isn't in the left navigation bar of the wiki: http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index ... Ryuu_Kishi

Also the following threads will need to be moved and merged into the auxiliary forum:
viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5484
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5057
viewtopic.php?f=15&t=5457

It seems to lack a native English speaking editor, so I'll go through and cleanup all the tenses and such that are a bit wonky over the next few days. (The things I do because someone would like a PDF made. >.> )

Well, I guess the guys who are deleting the pages in the speedy deletion category do still pay attention to why they are deleting those...

But you've got a point maybe. What do you think about it, zzhk? Oni? Anybody?

Seeing as Zero2001 is permanently banned from the B-T wiki (ref), some people have raised concerns over his remaining membership in the Editors user group in the forums.

It would be advisable to remove him from the Editors group lest forum users mistake his opinions for that of someone with legitimate authority on the wiki (which is no longer the case).

He is currently listed as a group leader, which prevents other leaders in the Editors group from removing him.

I see. :(

I did not see this coming, he seem like a nice lad from the few comments here.

On the other hand, Darkoneko seems to have a better knowledge of this situation and ultimately, i respect his judgment.
As i was the one who promoted him, i shall be the one to revoke him from the Editors group.

Edit: Also this drama all happened last year.... yes yes, im still catching back up.....

Oni. You shouldn't judge a book(me) by it's cover(a few posts). And I was a bit too stubborn. Rather embarrassing now that I look back at it.

I intend to earn my way back. So it's fine if you remove me from the editor's list.

(Just so long as I don't get blocked from the forum. There are still things I can help with, photoshopping, advising, etc.)

On another note: I was a group leader? Only found that out recently.

Speaking of which, ONI, Code-Zero and Silimir are more project TLers than project editors.

Which means we could at least give him a second chance, couldn't we?
He kept coming on the forum even if he was banned from the wiki and still offered his services as cleaner and also took part in a lot of useful things on the forum.
You may say he demonstrated his determination to come back, didn't he?

I guess he learned from his ban and would like to prove himself more compliant and wouldn't do a scandal as he did last year... (It's now clear the translators have the last word about their work, isn't it?)

You may add a condition like "if you redo the same, you will be perma-ban for real that time".

Anyway, I'm just saying. 'Cause you know, as someone said :
"It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission."
Maybe we could now say that : "It is surely better to pardon too much, than to condemn too much."

Yes, during the annual promotion, you were included. Unfortunately i did not do my evaluation as thorough as i should.

This is entirely my responsibility and i apologise for putting you in this situation which has brought this little history into the limelight again.

However, as you can see from the previous post from other members and as a reflection of my own opinion, no one has any prejudice against you personally.

As a man who have made many mistakes in many situations,
Whether here or IRL, i've discovered that people don't really care about what type of mistake you can make, per se.
To just shoulder the responsibility, is not a valid response. No. The only important thing that truly matters, is how you are going to resolve the problem so that it is restored to the same condition (or better) and that you can ensure it will not happen again.

So as i have a brief look at your current contributions and post to date, i can see you are steadily working towards this, so i will look forward to your results and that i have full confidence that i will be seeing your name appear once again on my annual promotion list in the near future.

Best Regards and good luck. :)

I have thought about how to resolve the problem. I actually did that soon after being blocked.

I intend on becoming a translator while contributing (in the meanwhile) via scanlation and advising (I've actually been helping out indirectly). Once I become a translator I will first finish the projects that suffered because of me thus resolving the problem caused by me.
Spoiler! :
Although, now that I've revealed my plan I think that the projects in question might miraculously speed up their progress.
Furthermore, since I will no longer need to ask translators to answer each and every question that comes to mind they won't get bothered by me any more.

So until then, I will continue as I have so far.

On another note (or rather, more importantly): I'd like to request a group for scanlators/photoshoppers here on the forum. So that we may contact and collaborate with each other when needed, exchange ideas and tips, etc. It would also help project translators/editors to look up scanlators to clean and typeset images as they are translated.
