The battle was over.

Viocia trailed off while turned around.

The abused elf girl was staring own at the wicked old woman lying collapsed on the ground.

The look on her face was not what Viocia had expected.

She looked like a small child who had been taken to an amusement park for a day of fun and was then abandoned by her parents.

Elinalva Longhouse had been a cruel and wicked witch, but she had been the one person to find and accept the elf girl who had lived alone deep in the forest for so long. Yagoro and Viocia may have seen this as rescuing her, but she had to feel the same shock and despair as having her sole connection to the outside world severed.

Her back looked so small.

Freynir Nineworlds spoke in a beautiful voice without the tremor of a lie or falsehood.
