With the Encyclopedia of Witchcraft Herb Correspondences successfully acquired, they could have just left, but Melehe said she wanted to keep at it a while longer.

“I want a few grimoires myself. We did find that rare book just sitting around. Some other big find could be hidden around here somewhere!”

“Eep. I-is it really a good idea to go in without a plan?”

And this time, Viocia decided to tag along with Melehe and Dorothea. But Viocia was no longer looking for anything in particular, so she got distracted just about every step of the way.

One booth was lined with herbs in small pots.

One seller had a collection a maps from the other world of Earth.

In one booth, round chicks and hamsters were separated out into boxes and staring up at the girl with their round little eyes. They were packed in fairly tight and making a racket.

“Buy me. Please buy me.”

“I’ll work so hard for you.”

They were being bought and sold here, but the artificial familiars were extremely nonchalant about it. They may not have cared who their owner was.

“Th-they’re so cute!”

“But I don’t have any money. Because I bought the Encyclopedia!!”

The student experienced a tearful goodbye.

And the next thing they knew, Melehe was unsteady on her feet up ahead. She had bought grimoires with a quantity over quality policy, so the two tote bags she had brought folded up were now full to bursting.

“Urrrrgh. H-how am I supposed to carry all this home? Agh.”

“Melehe. Eep. They have an emergency delivery station over there! You should get the black cat familiar to do it. You’re going to dislocate your shoulders!!”

There hadn’t been a line before, but lunchtime was over and the afternoon had begun. The other buyers in the area were starting to think about heading home, so they had realized how useful the delivery service was and had rushed there.

“Qu-quit staring, you perv, and prove you’re a man by carrying one of these bags.”

“Sorry. I’m all for taking a ladies first policy, but not when she demands it herself.”

Melehe had bought that mountain of books, so it was up to her to deal with them, but Dorothea couldn’t help herself and ended up carrying half of them as the girls approached the delivery station reception counter. The oldest daughter of a big family was in full big sister mode here.

Viocia’s eyes widened when she noticed what looked like bipedal stuffed animals moving around the emergency delivery station.

“Wait, I think I’ve seen that black cat familiar before. Did they actually fix him?”

A white figure passed by the girls.
