A few hours after Lux went to bed.

At dawn when the sun hadn’t even risen, Lux woke up secretly and went out from the backdoor of the inn.

When he looked up at the sky of the capital that still had the lingering heat of the festival slightly remaining, the moon was still staying up.

「Please don’t worry about the rest. Tomorrow, I will tell everyone the reason why Nii-san cannot appear in the All-Dragon Battle.」

「Right, I’ll leave it to you.」

Lux had told Airi that she didn’t need to see him off, but she forcefully came along. Lux smiled wryly to that while telling her so.

「Was there something concerning while I wasn’t here?」

「No, nothing particular. Just in case I went to the castle in the afternoon and asked about the details regarding the decoy role mission. There was nothing strange whether about the information sent to us from our spy in Heiburg or about the content of the confirmation sent by the scout. But──」

Airi sent an uneasy gaze at empty air, and then she stared at Lux with a perplexed expression.

「……The Drag-Knights stationed at the northeast of the capital──at the fortress along the rocky mountain and sea, it seems that they are being afflicted with a headache of unknown cause. There are no abnormalities with their bodies, so it doesn’t look like it’s poison or disease though.」

「Headache……?」

「……No, surely it’s just their imagination. I’m sorry to detain Nii-san here.」

Airi always remonstrated Lux saying to him「Doing reckless things like this」, but it was only at this kind of time that she was behaving meekly.

Most likely it must be because she was feeling a strong uneasiness that Lux would head to the Abyss extermination mission after this.

「I will be fine. Rather than that──I have one other thing to ask other than informing the others but, is it okay?」

「I will listen if it’s not a talk about Nii-san doing even more reckless things than this.」

「I want you to carefully observe the Drag-Rides of Lisha-sama and the others. Especially right after the Drag-Ride is summoned and equipped, pay attention whether there is anything unnatural that happens or not.」

Airi tilted her head. Lux averted his gaze just a bit.

「I also don’t really know. But, there is something that concerns me a bit.」

「──I understand. But, please don’t expect too much okay?」

「Right. Then, Airi. Be careful.」

「Nii-san too, be safe.」

After exchanging only those words at the end, Lux started walking through the streets of the sleeping capital.

At the same time, he took out a Sword Device hanging on his waist.

「──Come, the symbol of power the winged dragon of crest. Obey my sword and take flight, Wyvern!」

Light flashed along with the passcode and a Drag-Ride was summoned.

Lux quickly wore that armor and made his Wyvern fly towards the sunrise sky.
