===Part 11===

He was satisfied.

He had died satisfied.

He had supported his people as a proper king until the very last moment of his life and he had exposed the true enemy as Brave Liar. He had failed to stop that enemy himself, but he had informed the next generation of the threat to the kingdom. That unexpected visitor had been more of a fortune than he deserved.

But now the king opened his eyes.

He was in a white temple. Even after ruling an entire continent, he did not recognize this place. So perhaps it was outside his kingdom.

But hadn’t he died?

…Or maybe he had died and that was why he had been summoned “here”?

He heard a voice, but saw no one.

A female voice.

“You may be satisfied with what you have done, but there is another world even now plagued with troubles that needs your help. Many such worlds in fact. Are you at all interested in saving them? …And are you interested in living a full and peaceful life this time?”

“…”

He had no interest in a peaceful life. That was a luxury that would not lead to the majority’s happiness.

But what if there were still many people needlessly carrying pain and suffering on their shoulders?

What if someone standing before their enemies was all it would take to dry their tears?

“I swear on my name as a goddess that you were meant to live a longer and happier life, but it was cut short here. So I will make it up for you in your next life. As the goddess with complete control over the Skill Tree and who directly controls growth and life, I swear I will bring you happiness. So I promise to send you to another world where you can be happy.”

A bright but gentle light shined down on him from overhead.

No response was needed from the king.

The goddess made her announcement.

“Hero of the Chosen Soul, welcome to the temple of the Otherworld Reincarnation Goddess☆”
