Heavy metallic clanking sounds echoed through the building.

The armored witches who had finally arrived on the scene – Maleficium’s Benandanti who handled witch-related crimes, including Volands – were rushing all through the exchange. However, it mostly looked like they were inspecting the scene as cleanup work. The documents Roslynica had found were more than enough to bring down the Spanish Fly Indulgence Bank.

However…

(I swear, this is like a talent of yours. Are you the canary in the coal mine for crimes in this city?)

“Wake up already, Viocia. C’mon!”

“Gwoh!? O-ow, did you just hit me, teacher?”

“Would you prefer I left you here unconscious?”

Then someone called loudly for the boy with unnatural blond hair.

“Yagoro.”

It was Nancy, who commanded this Benandanti unit.

The redheaded pigtails girl in thick Hexenturm armor stomped over to him and jabbed a finger right in front of his nose.

''Her armor’s specs may still have been effecting her'' because she spoke a bit more forcefully than normal.

“What is the meaning of this? If you are going to cause a scene, you could at least give us advance warning! It’s less confusing that way!!”

“Sure, sure.”

“Don’t brush me off like that. If I’m not convinced you’ve learned your lesson, I can always drag you to the student guidance room and give you a few days in there to cool your head.”

“Yes, ma’am. I greatly appreciate your assistance in restoring order. ...And you have some nerve saying this when you were the first to come running after I sent my report by carrier pigeon, ''my sweet little student''.”

“Cough, cough!! I do not need any blatantly malicious opinions out of you, fool!! Guarding the people of Temple School City is our duty as the beautiful witches!!” shouted Nancy, her face bright red.

Her thick Hexenturm was supposed to trap the wearer’s goodness and conscience in an external mental cage so they could focus on exterminating the ugly witches, but Yagoro was starting to suspect it actually enhanced their emotions in a way that turned them into a twisted sort of tsundere. He wondered if he had found a strange sort of loophole there.

“Ahem. That is enough of that pointless conversation. Yagoro, where is the victim you said you rescued?”

“Over there.”
