== Bring back Date a Live == Is there anyway we can bring back Date a Live? It was a great novel. The only way to bring it back would be to create a new Baka tsuki website or a Wordpress. Even if you tried that it would get DMCA'd fairly fast due to it being the parent company who is asking for it to be taken down also you would need the old translations and stuff to create a new site. It's not impossible to do it'd just be really hard to prevent it from going down as well as finding a translator again after a series has died out for a while and in the long run may not be worth it for just one series albeit a good one. Honestly the best hope for this series now is to get licensed in english by a good company like YenPress (In regards to Light Novels they have not dropped any series as well as pump out 3-5 volumes a year).
Yascob99 (talk) 00:50, 29 December 2015 (UTC) Sorry, I stop taking you seriously once you said that Yenpress is a "good" company. Hah, it's pretty obvious that we can just make a site like tap did with SAO to continue or something like that with foreign server. Point taken, although that was the last part of what I said anyways. What I meant is in regards to LN translation YenPress do a fairly good job with consistent speed. However they do have some hiccups in regards to parts of their translations (Kurami = Clammy from no game no life comes to mind). In regards to them licensing stuff you can't give them a bad rep for that because fan translation falls under a legal grey area. Krytyk also made a very good post on the same subject as well; I'll link it here if someone wants me to.
Yascob99 (talk) 01:43, 1 January 2016 (UTC) Haha, trust me, if I can read Japanese like Krytyk, I would think like him as well. But I am not, so all I can do is lament the fact that just because YenPress licensed the series, other places outside of the delivery area will no longer able to read the LN. Furthermore. YenPress is swallowing more than they can chew and is making more and more mistakes with the translations. No Game No Life was pretty notorious, but now the way the screw up the illustrations of SAO just so that we have to read from left to right, is starting to become unbearable. And furthermore, their speed is consistent, but it is a lot slower than the majority of the LN that they liscensed done by fan translations (Mahouka and SAO). Once they catch up to the series, the fan base is no longer be interested and even worse, THEY will lose the incentive to continue, leaving the series in a sort of limbo that no longer have any translation (Hidan no Aria). I know this is just me justifying fan translation, but I sure as heck gonna stick to it because I have never seen a YenPress book in my local bookstore so fan translation is what keep me on track for all these years. The Kurami=Clammy thing is a bit of a toss-up, I think. While I prefer Kurami, at the same time, there are reasonably experienced fans who will insist in Clammy (RandomC's blog for one). I've come to terms with it by deciding that unless a character is specifically supposed to be Japanese/Japan-influenced (Hatsuse Izuna, anyone?), I'm not going to care about the spelling.
