Melehe Superlative felt confident as she rode her highly customized broom.

Since she could manage vertical takeoffs, she had no difficulty coming to a stop in midair to take a break.

Prep schools were not like compulsory education. All the students in a class would not have equal abilities. The ones who had what it took would advance and the ones who didn’t would be left behind. She had just demonstrated what it meant to be an exam student.

Even the other girls at her prep school were her rivals.

She had to draw on every bit of skill she had and develop it further. She had no intention of making friends here.

“Eep.”

Due to her personality, Dorothea Rockpool had completely frozen up.

But the entrance exam was a fierce competition.

Anyone attempting to get into Maleficium had to assume the odds of failure were greater than 99.9999%. If they let themselves freeze up because of what someone else did, they had no chance.

“That was mean, Melehe,” said Melehe’s broom.

“If a barrier of this size is enough for her to give up, then she would probably be happier doing something else in life.”

But if anyone was still willing to challenge her, they could bring it on.

She brushed back her shoulder-length silver hair…just in time for Viocia Modestlucky to curve around the squid buoy with an unthinkable speed and angle.

She easily blew past the results of the Rank A genius.

What was that?

A 3m turning radius didn’t even come close. In fact, she didn’t even make a clockwise turn. She had taken a ridiculous curve a lot like metal balls rolling through a clear glass tube.

Had she taken a vertical turn?

Schanze spoke to Myousou Yagoro, sounding like she had thrown in the towel on this one.

“Hey, did you manage to measure that one? You totally have to measure that turning radius in centimeters, don’t you?”

“It was at least less than 140cm, don’tcha think?”

The tutor chuckled and stuck his tongue out with his head turned so the Mont Blanc gyaru-style instructor couldn’t see.

Melehe managed to read his lips.

That pervert tutor had interfered yet again.

Although that technique had been entirely meaningless for him since he had been headed for space.

Needless to say, a special maneuver that incorporated gravitational acceleration would turn more sharply than simply decelerating and turning. Without a practical benefit, a tricky maneuver like that wouldn’t have stuck around so long.

Viocia was carefree as could be when she returned. She couldn’t stop in midair, so she flew in a wide circle around the practical building instead.

“Ahh, this feels great. Flying in the open sky is so freeing!”

“Eep. Viociaaaaa!”

“You’re up next, Dorothea! Front and back, side to side, up and down – whichever axis you turn on the world looks completely different. I’ve found another three numbers to go with the Three Aspects of witchcraft. I bet I could do so many cool things if I combined these in different ways. Flying straight and slowing down just gives you the one thing. It’s so boring and uncreative!!”

The silver-haired girl bit her lip, hung her head, and shook.

She was the “boring and uncreative” one.

Orpheus, her supposed partner, was having trouble suppressing laughter.

Tearful and red in the face, Melehe Superlative shouted at Viocia.
