===Afterword=== Thank you for picking up this book, "BLAZBLUE CALAMITY TRIGGER"! I am the author, Mako Komao. "BLAZBLUE," as the title suggests, is a 2D fighting game released by Arc System Works Co., Ltd. This is a novelization of that game, and specifically, it is the second volume of "CALAMITY TRIGGER." If you happened to pick this up because you were drawn to the beautiful cover, I would be happy if you could also enjoy the first volume! Also, the latest installment in the original 2D fighting game "BLAZBLUE" series, "CHRONOPHANTASMA," is currently very popular in arcades as of this writing, so if you are interested in the work, I think you will find a fun future if you take the opportunity to play it! I personally like the new character, Amane! Furthermore, I would be happy if you could also check out the other novelized series of "BLAZBLUE" that have already been released! Now then, to those who have been with me since the first volume, I suppose I should say, "Thank you for waiting." I somehow managed to write the afterword for the second volume, and now I am simply feeling somewhat dazed, or rather, I am in a state of disbelief at this open future. I think I have said this in an afterword somewhere before, but I thought it would never end! Has it safely arrived in your hands? I suppose that since you are reading this, it must have a wonderful cover, a beautiful color opening, illustrations, and be in the form of a novel published by Fujimi Dragon Book. But of course, when I am writing the afterword, the book has not yet been published, so I am still nervous! I wonder if something will happen, and I imagine all sorts of bad things. I am the type of person who worries about whether I locked the door after I leave! Since there is nothing I can do by just fantasizing, let's assume that the book has been safely published. How was it? This novelized version of "BLAZBLUE CALAMITY TRIGGER." It is structured in two volumes, and this is the form in which it was delivered to you, but I wrote it with the hope that you would find many enjoyable parts within it. In the first and second volumes, I tried to create scenes that correspond to each other. They are hidden in small places as well, so I hope you will enjoy those as well. Also, in the second volume, the heroine finally appeared! I was filled with the feeling of "I finally got to write her!" It was the first time for me to write her in a novel, so I was excited. However, although I had been looking forward to it since the first volume, when I actually started writing, she was an incredibly delicate character, and she became a character whose emotional expression I had to pay more attention to than ever before... I am worried about how she appears in your eyes. It's like sending my daughter off to elementary school or something. The game itself, "BLAZBLUE CALAMITY TRIGGER," is very deep, and it's truly a story that makes you wonder if it's really a fighting game, and the story is prepared for each character, so this book does not cover everything in "CT." I think there will be various criticisms and so on. But anyway, if these two volumes, as the main story of "CT," were enjoyable for you, then there is nothing more I could ask for! I have written "BLAZBLUE" in various forms for quite some time now, and this time as well... I was happy. There were quite a few difficult things, but when it was over, I felt that I had been allowed to write such a wonderful book. "BLAZBLUE" is great, isn't it? Somehow, the more I write about it, the more I like it. But the more I write about it, the more pressure I feel. Because the things I write become history. But if I could have my way... I would like to write more history. I really mean it. Well, well, well. If I try to avoid spoilers, I will end up not being able to say anything about the content, so please allow me to list some thank yous... or rather, apologies, as usual, to the people who helped me. To my editor... thank you very much. I have run out of words of apology and that's all I can say, but I was truly, truly indebted to you. Thanks to you, I am alive. Thank you. To Sugiyama-sama, who drew the cover, the opening illustrations, and the illustrations, I am truly sorry for the trouble this time... I don't know how to apologize... It was a difficult time for you, and yet you gave me the illustrations for the manuscript that was not easily completed. Thank you so much! And of course, to Producer Mori-sama. Thank you for your many advices from the plot stage. I am sorry for suddenly calling you and only asking about the setting of the hierarchical city and hanging up. I am sorry for being slow. But thank you for letting me write "CT." I am truly honored to have become a writer. Finally, in the usual order, to you who read this book. Thank you so much. I am truly happy to be able to conclude the second volume and say hello to you like this, and how should I say it, thank you again for letting me write "BLAZBLUE" like this. I hope to see you again next time, under the same title. Goodbye then! When all the manuscript work is finished, I will practice Amane!
