Editing Talk:Rakudai Kishi no Eiyuutan:Volume3 Chapter 2

In Part 10, the scene with the shadow villain types (revealed to be members of Akatsuki in the next volume) has this part:

"I don't need it. You might as well feed it to that cat."

"Ha ha ha. She'll cry again if you don't call her a sphinx properly."

I was confused by this, but I think they're referring to the lion Rinna rides on? In that case, the second line should read "She'll cry again if you don't call ''it'' a sphinx properly." But that's just my speculation, as I don't have the Japanese text.

You are quite correct. Such is the nature of translating ambiguous phrases when you don't know what they're talking about. Back then I thought that "she" and "that cat" referred to the same character (pretending to be a sphinx). It's pretty easy to get out of Ikki's problem, now.  Stella only needs to inform her father of the situation and he and his officials will be outraged at having words put into their mouth and published as fact.  So will the Japanese government.  That isn't even taking into account how angry both will be at the fools for actively trying to cause an international incident.

Stella and Ikki getting out of it so they aren't put in separate rooms is fairly simple.  Deny, deny, deny.

Of course, Stella could also tell her parents the truth and tell them that when she offered herself to him, he turned her down so as not to cause problems for her and her family.  Her parents seem like the kind of people who'd be glad to have her living with someone they feel they can entrust her well-being to and would likely end up supporting their relationship and their continued living together.

Besides, she's got them wrapped around her finger.
